Fantastic. Some great improvisation and instrumental/vocal flair that make live shows fun, while still having that distinct Blanco White sound that’s something like the auditory equivalent of a beautiful desert mirage.
Brooklyn Made was a great intimate venue to see Blanco White. Josh is even more amazing live... making eye contact with the audience and really connecting with his fans. Sounded spot on! Super humble for such a talented musician. The band is so talented as well. Can't wait to see him again.
Part of being entertained is experiencing the joy of the performer. Blanco White delivered that in spades. Yes -- the chords are great. Yes -- the lyrics are moving. Yes -- the performers are talented. But, what was most appealing was the energy and excitement demonstrated by each of the artists. This was well worth the 5 hour trip from DC to experience Brooklyn Made, a club with great acoustics. The playlist mixed old and new. Would travel 10 hours to hear/see Blanco White again!
This event was incredible. It was better than anything I could have imagined. I loved both performers and I appreciate the fact it was in the voodoo room which made it even more intimate!
