About

Posthumously awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013, Barry White's legacy continues to live on for a new generation. With a voice as deep as the ocean floor, White enthralled concert goers with his distinct bass voice on tours that treated ticket buyers to an energetic mixture of soul, funk and disco wrapped up in full orchestral productions.

Originally the producer of the girl group Love Unlimited, White didn't originally want to be behind the microphone. It wasn't until cutting a few demos for another singer that White's true talented was uncovered, and the rest is history. An instant sensation, his first solo album contained the No. 1 R&B hit "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby." He continued to release love song after love song, including two iconic smash singles, "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" and the career defining No. 1 "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe." He went on to create The Love Unlimited Orchestra, with which he recorded the single "Love's Theme," a song credited for ushering in the disco era. White continued to release music over a span of 26 years, finally winning two Grammy Awards for his last solo album recorded in 1999 Staying Power. An irreplaceable voice that touched the hearts of many, Barry White passed in July of 2003, leaving behind a musical legacy that will live on in history with dynamic performances that, while not the same as seeing them live, can be viewed by today's generation with the click of a button.
