    Intriguing!

by J. on 5/19/19Saint Paul RiverCentre - St Paul

Autonomy was an intriguing experience. I loved the colors of the rope light “streets” and the lights twirling on the walls and ceiling as the fun golf carts traveled to the next scene. Of course, the beautiful cars were the stars of the show. Plus the story line about what driverless cars mean for our future was thought provoking. It all worked together well.

Everything about it was amazing. I wish I could have seen it 30 more times.

Too Much: Four Shows in One

by 2 Senior women and 2 grumpy old men on 5/15/19Saint Paul RiverCentre - St Paul

You bit off more than you could chew, a worthy idea, but too big and unwieldy. There were too many topics. The future and past of cars, the effects of same on the environment in an age of global warming would have been a big topic but to throw in the tangent of immigration, which started the show, was confusing. It was a little too bleak because there was no course of action to champion that would start to solve one problem and not make another worse. It was, in short, too much like life is now. The presence of these unique cars was most of the appeal that sold the show to our male companions and they would rather have touched the cars. I liked the golf carts but the sound from one station bled into other stations. You raised good ideas, and showed the conflicts but before you can absorb one topic it changed. Performance were were uneven, some excellent and some unprofessional.

    Interesting Experience

by Stan on 5/15/19Saint Paul RiverCentre - St Paul

As a car enthusiast, I felt that not being able to get closer to the cars was a bit disappointing. In fact, I feel that the golf cars were not really necessary and it would have been better to just walk between the acts. I did think the acting was really good and the story was interesting and made me think about the current auto culture and future. However, I didn't really understand how the autos directly tied into each act (some were more obvious than others). I liked that it was a different theater experience and the flow of the show was fantastic. There were no long waits to start the event, the staff was very friendly, and the experience was enjoyed by everyone that attended with me.
