by tooles on 3/19/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

My son and I bought tix to the game and had great seats for purchasing them on Friday...but we wished we would have known we were sitting near the band for VCU!!!

    First time at Barclays

by BrooklynBilliken on 3/18/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Took the G train down from north Brooklyn and made me first trip to the Barclays Center to see my alma mater play in the A10 basketball tournament. Really surprised at how nicely the arena was designed and how comfortable it was for basketball. Used the 3-D seat map when purchasing tickets and was not disappointed with the location or view. Overall just a very nice experience. Don't make it to downtown Brooklyn much, but would consider other events there.

    A10 semis showcased great talent

    by Temple1 on 3/18/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Two tight, hard fought games in a great new venue with interesting food options. Junior's cheesecake at a basketball double header? It's hard to top that. Too bad the Owls didn't make the semi finals!

    A10 rising

by Brandbear on 3/18/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Impressed with the level of play in the Atlantic 10. 3 out of the 4 teams in the semis were nationally ranked. Barclays Center still a little slow in certain areas but seems to be gettng better every few months. The tickets sold to me were directly behind the band - who did not have seats. Wish I would have known that these would be obstructed view seats. Usher saw I was annoyed and her supervisor reseated me in a section with a good view - no questions asked. Overall the staff is friendly and polite with the level of professionalism continuously getting better.

A10 Tourney at Barclay's was great!

by TyPepper on 3/18/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The venue is gorgeous! I guess not that many tickets were sold as the blackout screens for the Upper level were down. Had fun and would love to go back next year.

Good Games but terrible half-time shows

by lofugee on 3/18/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Too bad the 1st year of A10 tournament will likely be its last good one as all the top teams depart after this year. really good games this 1st year, but I really hate it when organizers do not line up good half-time shows. just so cheap. i know everyone is going to the food stands and bathrooms, but you can do better than having little kids run up and down a court.

Barkley Center is AWESOME IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!

by FreddieTrebby on 3/17/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Even though VCU lost the final round, this was an awesome event! The best parts were equal ... (1) there is no bad seat in this place (2) the staff were geniunely welcoming & embraced their visitors with both kindness & empathy & it was hugely noticed & appreciated (3) the accoustics were superb for the VCU PEPPAS Pep Band. I felt completely at home at Barkley Center (first time in Brooklyn.. even though my family roots begin in America at the Wyckoff House there)! THANKS FOR THE SUPERB WELCOME! Barkely, you have this one down pat!

Terrific staff at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

    by Jfmcg2 on 3/17/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Almost every staff member was friendly and helpful. They were so good compared to most venues like this that I had to ask them if they were trained in politeness! It turns out they were trained by Disney! It showed and I was impressed with them--from the Will Call window (not the teams will call pick up tables), the concession staff and the ushers/usherettes. It was clear that they were proud to be recognized for their friendliness and politeness compared to the Knicks basketball venue!

Makes MSG Seem Like a Third World Arena

    by Jasper64 on 3/17/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Great viewing, very friendly staff. Only negatives: 1. Arena was TOO DARN COLD! Outside temp was in 30's. There was a constant cold draft coming from top of arena. Had to wear coat during most of games. Not sure if they had AC on or cold air from outside. They need to have enough heat for comfort of fans. 2. At the food concessions PRICES WERE OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH. Should not charge $4.50 for water or $10 for a beer, etc. Go there on a full stomach or bring LOTS OF MONEY!

    The A10 Comes To Brooklyn

    by mannym2 on 3/16/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

While everyone was crammed into Madison Square Garden to watch the Big East Tournament, a fine display of basketball took place at the A10 Tournament in Brooklyn. The Atlantic 10 is one of the most underrated conferences in college basketball. The tournament will take place in Brooklyn next year as well. Highly recommended.

    Charlotte Richmond / Dayton/ Butler

    by Leon52 on 3/16/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

A-10 playoffs in Brooklyn was great. What a finish to Charlote Richmond. daton butler was well played. New arena" has that new arena smell. Only beef is that the real good. Food places were closed. I know the crowds were small for these games, so I understand.

Arena was great basketball not so much.

    by yogagirl575 on 3/16/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

While the arena was great, the food is mediocre and it was tough because the best seats available were behind the basket because people could buy all passes and had better seats. Reffing was inexcusably bad.

A great event for the price

by ike76 on 3/20/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Seven great basketball games all for one price with the added benfit of food, drinks and a little gambling in AC.

A nice experience for an average fan

by abvaughn2 on 3/13/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

I'm not that big of college basketball. With nothing to do and a quick drive away, I decided to head this the tournament to see how it was in person. Being by myself, I didn't think I would have enjoyed it that much. I was wrong. The crowd just gets you into the moment. The calls are in your face and it makes you see stuff that the refs even miss. I will definitely go again if I'm near the event.
