Torche, Big Business, and Helms Alee
by whr27 on 8/2/11Bluebird Theater - DenverI had never listened to Helms Alee or Big Business, but both bands were interesting and sounded great live. Helms Alee had a loopback issue on bass, but they worked through it with help from Jonathan Nunez of Torche. The girl on drums was busy and their post-metal style was cool. My buddy is a huge Big Business fan, and he loved their set. We were both impressed with how heavy Torche sounded and they played a good mix of songs off their 2 albums and EP. The Bluebird was a good venue, although not much room for a mosh pit.
