GEORGE EZRA IN CONCERT:
It’s been a quick rise for bass-voiced British singer-songwriter George Ezra. Since blowing up charts around the globe in 2013 with his folky breakout hit “Budapest”, Ezra has topped the UK Albums Chart, toured the world, and has been nominated for a bevvy of awards. Despite his astronomical rise, the fresh-faced young crooner remains humble and authentic in concert, delivering his world-wise songs with a disarming smile and plenty of infectious energy. With his rich voice and expertly crafted songs, George Ezra is a must-see for fans of folk, blues, and good old-fashioned rock and roll.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
George Ezra was born and raised in Hertford, England, and in 2011 he moved to Bristol to attend the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. His love for American folk and blues artists like Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan closely influenced his songwriting, but it was the huge, throaty voice of blues legend Lead Belly that inspired his singing style. Ezra made his debut in 2013 with a performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury, which he followed up a few months later with his debut EP Did You Hear the Rain? In late 2013 he scored a breakthrough hit with “Budapest”, the lead single from his 2014 debut album Wanted on Voyage. The song became an international sensation, helping to propel the album to the top of the UK Albums Chart and the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart in the US. With a string of high profile festival appearances slated for 2015, Ezra has ticket buyers eager to catch him in concert.

The venue was nice, and the show was good, the acoustics seemed a little muffled at times but for the most part it was fun.
George Ezra produced a great performance. He was punctual and started right on time after the opening act. The singing and the playing was fanatic as the whole band was highly enthusiastic and full of energy. George also did a great job of interacting with the audience and made the performance more dynamic by offering background information for his songs. You can really see that he loves what he does, and his dynamic energy transferred to the audience. A truly fun evening out!
George Ezra is one of those artists that sounds good on the radio AND sounds just as amazing in person. He puts on the best show and has little stories he shares about the songs between each song. I also loved the venue. The Wiltern is a beautiful and intimate venue.
Great venue, great stage, just overall amazing. Made the night so great!
George Ezra is an entertaining, witty performer and such a talented musician! It was an incredible show. Also, his trumpet player was so funny!
Saw him in San Diego and loved the show so much right after that concert we bought tickets to the one in LA. I’ve never done that before let alone rarely go to a concert. He put on such an amazing show and all around phenomenal performer.
George Ezra is an adorable man and an amazing performer. How many musicians he has on stage with him are incredible as well and the whole experience was one I won’t soon forget!
George Ezra's concert was made extra special by all of his adoring fans! The majority of folks knew the words to most of the songs and were enthusiastically cheering loudly for every number. The highlight of the show was, of course, George himself. Great showmanship and just amazing talent! The band was top notch and so energetic and fun. The light show was dynamic. It all came together to create a wonderful experience for all who were there.
George Ezra was everything I expected and more!! He truly has a gift of storytelling and has this way about him that pulls you in and makes you forget about everything else and allows you to focus on the music and being in the present. I would go to another one of his shows in a heart beat!
