Tash Sultana on Tour

To see Tash Sultana live is a truly hypnotic experience. The multi-instrumentalist makes liberal use of loop pedals to achieve her mesmerizing one woman–band sound. Her rich mix of indie, soul, psych-rock, roots, reggae and hip-hop was honed and perfected on the streets of Melbourne as a busker, and she brings a raw, fresh energy to every single performance. Ever since a homemade video of one of her performances went viral in 2016, Sultana's been a regular on the road, selling out shows and arenas across Australia and New Zealand, Europe and North America. By the time she released her 2018 debut album, Flow State, she already had several major festivals under her belt and a string of sold-out shows for her 2019 Flow State World Tour.

Tash Sultana in Concert

Tash Sultana was practically born with a guitar in hand — but that's nothing compared to the dozen-plus instruments she now plays. Growing up in Melbourne, the Australian singer-songwriter took to the six-string as a three year old, before quickly catching on to a wide range of other string, brass and percussion instruments, all with no formal training. As a teenager, she brought her talents to the streets of Melbourne as a busker. She eventually started a Bandcamp page and began making videos of her street performances for YouTube. Already a skilled performer, Sultana gained international recognition at age 20, when a live recording of her original track "Jungle" went viral on Facebook, racking up over a million views in under one week. This led to the 2016 release of the Notion EP, and the following year Sultana signed to New York indie label Mom + Pop, eventually playing at various music festivals and venues across Australia, North America and Europe. In 2018, she released her debut album, Flow State, which she wrote, sang, produced and played all 15 instruments on. This would earn her an ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Music Award for Best Blues and Roots Album of the year — not to mention even more fans around the world.

    Simply Amazing

    by El jefe on 3/2/24

A totally unbelievable experience filled with endless levels of full body uplifting experience. One of the greatest shows I've seen by a small artist on a long time. I go to about 10 music shows a year, this was one of the best out there.

Never had post-show depression until I saw Tash Sultana

    by Kara on 12/11/23

When I tell you seeing Tash Sultana in concert is a full out of body experience, I am not kidding. I was in awe from the beginning to end. This was my first time seeing Tash, but it won’t certainly be the last. Watching the tiny desk convert in person is something that cannot be described! Can’t wait to see them again in the future. Love you Tash! ❤️

    Incredible experience!

    by Tsanch311 on 12/2/23

Tash is an incredible musician and human. The energy they bring is not even comparable to most any other artists. Their talent is truly one of kind! I’ve wanted to see Tash for awhile now and was finally able to. And Tash definitely did not disappoint!! Only thing that’s super upsetting is we never received our VIP package items in the mail. Not even sure how to go about this either. Much love to Tash and their crew! Bailen was also great! I loved their energy and passion as well.

    Best show and artist ever

    by A. R. on 10/16/23

Tash Sultana in my opinion is a true definition of an artist. Their show is the best show I have ever been too and probably will ever witness in my life. Their energy flows through the crowd and at one point just feels like everyone’s souls, including Tash, are all in sync. I will always go to Tash Sultanas performances when they come back to Austin. Trust me, their concert will change your life!

She's the single most talented musician I've ever seen. Her shows are incredible, transcendent even. I'll see her every time she's within 12 hours or a cheap flight away from me. I drove 10 hrs to see her this time and I'd do it again!!! She's truly unbelievable!!! Just go see her!!!! It's an experience!

This is my 4th time seeing Tash. I feel as though I am witnessing history being made. Not to mention, they are the deity of good vibrations. I’ve never seen a person more one with music. My ears and eyes are blissfully happy to have experienced Tash and their band again! Great, smaller venue, too!

    An honor and a privilege

by Dr_Know on 10/9/23Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater - Austin

WOW, Tash is one of those incredible performers that has exceptional talent and pours out the love for their audience. In Austin at the end of a two-year tour, Tash happily demonstrated how a single artist can simultaneously play percussion instruments, guitars, wind instruments, and sing magnificently. All while running across the stage and beyond. It’s difficult to imagine Tash having any more to give that night. Simply an honor and a privilege to have seen two amazing Tash shows in one weekend. Very much looking forward to a time when Tash next chooses a creative direction to share. Thankfully, there is so much that Tash has already shared. And a shout out to opening act BAILEN. A fun family act from NYC.
