About

THE BRONX IN CONCERT:

The Bronx always deliver an adrenaline-fueled punk rock throwdown on tour with their hardcore anthems and unfiltered passion. Singer Matt Caughtran embodies the group’s energetic spirit in concert, bringing his vocal cord-shredding pandemonium off the stage and into the audience as he sings from the center of the mosh pit. As he blurs the line between performer and fan, the rest of the band keeps pace with rapid-fire guitar chords, distortion cranked to the max, and breakneck rhythms that push the band's songs into overdrive. The Bronx are sure to kick up a stage-diving, slam-dancing mosh pit on punk rock rallying cries like “Six Days a Week”, “Too Many Devils”, and “Heart Attack American”, and ticket buyers are more than happy to join in on the mayhem.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Los Angeles hardcore quintet The Bronx rose to notoriety quickly, signing a record contract with Island Def Jam in 2002 after only 12 live performances. Instead of navigating major label expectations, however, the band opted to hone their craft by independently releasing their 2003 self-titled debut. After their early music videos caught on with hardcore fans, they went back to Island for the 2006 release of their second self-titled album. A third self-titled album followed a couple years later, and in 2009 they premiered Mariachi El Bronx, a mariachi counterpart to their hardcore punk sound. The group also collaborated with Schoolly D in 2012 to produce the theme song for the Adult Swim show Aqua Something You Know Whatever. Whether they’re playing as The Bronx or Mariachi El Bronx, fans know to expect a high energy show — but can’t predict what will happen when these high-octane hardcore masters take the stage.

Big Night Live and The Palladium

    by Rusty on 2/26/23

I saw them at Big Night live and the sound was off for the whole show but they still were incredible and Matt threw elbows with my wife in the little mini pit on that slippery floor. Great show managed to get a signature from the female lead of scowl and got to see the chats which is hands down one of my favorite bands. I also saw the Bronx with rancid and that show was incredible. They stole that show that night in Massachusetts. I can't wait to see these guys again they are incredible live. Don't forget to go watch their Halloween special from the pandemic that was incredible too

    Hype

by Jack on 11/17/22Summit - Denver

I went to see the chats and the energy was pretty unbeatable. Staff were helpful and promoted crowd surfing and mosh pit. Service was fast and the venue was clean

    Great band but…

by L on 10/26/22Big Night Live - Boston

First time seeing a show at big night live. It’s a beautiful venue, we even got upgraded to the VIP section. Heard some new bands opening for the Bronx and I was very disappointed with how I couldn’t truly hear them. Or rather heard too much. Not sure if the sound guys were happy with what they were hearing but it was so loud that everything was distorted. I couldn’t really appreciate the music fully. I hope they figure out how to do the musicians justice. And I wasn’t the only one. Everyone talking after the show and had the same problem. So sorry to the Bronx and the other bands there. Everyone starting leaving because the sound was awful. Hope Big night live will fix this problem.

Some damn good music plus the lead singer jumped into the pit with a corded mic for 4 songs.

    The Chats/The Bronx

by Alex on 10/12/22The Belasco - Los Angeles

Overall the entire concert was fun and exciting. The bands that played were awesome and the setlist was amazing. The sound was a little crappy since you couldn't really hear the singers all that well. There was also an issue with the staff not allowing re-entry although there was absolutely no warning or mention of it in the purchase of the tickets. My partner and I had stepped out of the venue for some fresh air and were not allowed to return but we weren't too upset about it. Be careful though if you walk outside for any reason in the beginning of the concert.

One of the best live bands I've ever seen. In your face rock. Energy, Dynamic, they destroy ALL.
