Johnny Reid on Tour
When Johnny Reid introduces a song, his natural Scottish burr is plain as day, but as soon as the Canadian country star — who moved to Canada as a kid — starts to sing, the North American spirit inhabits him. Reid's voice is full of classic country twang, but at the same time it bears a gruff brand of soulfulness that can sometimes make him sound like a country version of Bruce Springsteen. The band pumping away behind him sports a similar mixture of musical flavors, bringing a dash of rock 'n' roll and soul to Reid's countrified tunes. Never one to put on airs, Reid brings a guy-next-door vibe to his performances, no matter how big the venue, and even when he's got the crowd singing along in an arms-aloft anthem, he still has a way of maintaining an intimate connection with his audience on every song.
Johnny Reid in Concert
When Johnny Reid was a child in the small Scottish town of Lanark, it would have seemed incredibly unlikely that he would grow up to become a Canadian country music star — but that's exactly what he did. Reid was 13 when he and his family made the move to Canada, and it didn't take long for him to soak up the North American vibe that would one day guide his career. In 1997 Reid released his debut album, Another Day, Another Dime. It wasn't until his third album, 2005's Born to Roll, that things really began to take off for Reid; the single "Gypsy Soul" hit No. 12 on the Canadian country charts, and the album eventually went platinum in Canada. Solidly on the path to stardom, Reid went on to score a long string of hits in the years to come. In the process, he also managed to rack up an astonishing number of honors, including multiple Juno awards, and a towering heap of awards from the Canadian Country Music Association.

Johnny put on a GREAT show as usual. Absaloutly terrible venue. Awful sound system. Basically a gymnasium.
I saw Johnny Reid for the first time in a smaller theatre last year and it was much more intimate. Compared to the recent concert at Casino Rama, I didn’t enjoy the experience as much. I thought the venue was too large. I also thought there was too many fans, who during the concert, kept going up to the stage to give him gifts (roses, stuffed animals, hockey shirts). Also, fans handed him their cellphones for him to take videos of the musicians, etc, and he even signed autographs on hats, pictures, etc. I paid to see and hear Johnny Reid at a “live” concert, but instead, I watched fans, who like most these days had no consideration for others and especially Johnny Reid, as sometimes he stopped singing so he could concentrate on signing autographs instead.
Johnnys performance can be described in one word...AMAZING The one area to I would like to see upgraded is that the elevator and escalator to go upstairs is more clearly marked.
Johnny Reid is a fantastic performer and delivered a wonderful concert! He engages with the audience and the whole band seems to be enjoying themselves, as much as Johnny is! I can’t wait to see him again.
have seen this man several times he is an entertainer every inch of the stage is covered his band no other words than incredible they are the ones you want to see
He was amazing. Very talented and engaging. Don’t think he was happy about his suit lol. Love Johnny!
I have been to a lot of Johnny Reid concerts and he never fails to entertain!! He is an amazing artist and I will continue to go to his concerts whenever they are near my location!!
The evening was amazing with christmas music. I loved how Johnny would talk about each song and say each song was one of his favourites lol! I love how personal Johnny is with everyone, especially the boy who he gave his jacket to. I love how he shows his emotions, so geniune!!! I would have loved hearing some of his regular songs along with the Christmas ones. His guest singer was awesome from "The Voice". I remember watching and seeing her on the show.
Beautiful xmas music Great musicians Great singer and entertainment Loved the evening
