White Lies sound great in live shows

I'm a huge fan of the band, and they played a set that could make a fan out of anyone.

White Lies sound better than ever!

by MariMagic on 2/28/14Webster Hall - New York

This is the 2nd time I've seen these guys live. They were even better than the last time. The sound was excellent and they played incredibly well. We had a great night.

    Fantastic

by RemirazT on 2/28/14Webster Hall - New York

Iv'e been to 4 white lies shows in NY, they deliver every single time. Not sure why they weren't embraced by US crowds just yet (Like XX or Alt j) but hopefully webster hall is a step in the right direction. Good luck guys!

    Tell me more White Lies!

by Rubster on 2/28/14Webster Hall - New York

Having already seen them on this tour I knew exactly what to expect. Harry's vocals are haunting but beautiful. This is one of those bands that I try to catch on every tour. Always put on a good show.

This is how it's done. No frills, no glamour. Just straight to the point. White Lies sounded amazing, they delivered nothing short of a stellar set. Best of luck on the rest of the tour!

I've been in love with White Lies for about a year and a half now. Their music has helped me through a patch of terrible depression, an manipulative and physically abusive ex, and completing my childhood dream of moving to New York City. The first time I saw them was at Bowery Ballroom last October, in the midst of finally breaking free of that ex. Bowery is incredibly smaller than Webster, and the sound is a whole world above that at Webster (though Webster is still far from the worst when it comes to acoustics). The set flowed, the crowd was jumping and everyone there was riding the emotional roller coaster that is White Lies together. There was a community feeling there that really made you feel like part of the band, part of the crowd, part of the story that White Lies tells. Now, on to the show at Webster last night... There was a very obvious disconnect from the band to the crowd. There were a handful of people around me who were singing along, jumping up and down, and really feeling the music... but there were even more who had nothing but irritated looks and a general air of disinterest. Add in that the set choice didn't really flow (it felt like I had put their most popular singles in a playlist and hit shuffle), and the band seemed very contained within themselves (very little crowd interaction), and it wasn't quite what I was expecting. BUT, their playing was absolutely solid, the lighting was superb, and their cover of I Would Die 4 U was absolutely adorable. I wasn't brought to tears like I was when I saw them in October, but I was certainly entertained, and will definitely be seeing them the next time they come around. Overall, the show was pleasant and enjoyable, and it was very refreshing to see them live again. I'm giving it four stars because they are a powerhouse in terms of actual playing, but I have to knock one off because they had minimal stage presence last night.

    White Lies ATL

by apple13 on 2/22/14Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

This was the 3rd time I have gone to see White Lies. They were terrific live and so much fun to watch. Always humble and very interactive with the crowd. I can't wait for them to return to Atlanta. This was one of my favorite shows, ever.

    White Lies having fun

by chbaileyOR on 10/16/13El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

I can say that I love almost every song White LIes has produced. So I always want to see them if they come thru the U.S. on a tour. Sadly they were only visiting five U.S. cities this round, so I flew to L.A. for the concert. So worth it! While I loved the last tour (saw them in Seattle), they seemed so much more relaxed this time and seemed to be having a lot more fun. Played a great set, though I wish they had played Holy Ghost, Bad Love and From The Stars.
