About

With a brand new album expected to debut in early 2014, happy-go-lucky Nashville natives Hot Chelle Rae are primed to overtake the airwaves with a batch of fresh earworms like previous hits “Tonight Tonight" and “Hung Up." Confident but grateful, petulant but playful, the trio puts on a high-energy concert for their devoted fans, who unfailingly snatch up all the tickets to their routinely sold-out shows. It’s not the crazy catchy tunes alone that make these boys so enjoyable, but also the thrilling live experience, which is highly interactive, with the audience encouraged to sing along while a few colorful strobe lights illuminate the minimally designed stage. Seemingly perpetually on the road, the youthful band recently completed a tour in Japan in 2013 and will continue sporadically playing shows in the U.S. until their massive world tour for the third album, due to be released next year alongside the latest single, rumored to be “Crazy.”

Christening themselves “Hot Chelle Rae” after the handle of a catfishing fan claiming to be a hot young blond, the band seemed destined for success from the beginning. It didn’t hurt that band member Nash Overstreet’s brother is Chord Overstreet of "Glee" fame or that they all had musician parents, but the guys seem fairly grounded despite acclaimed family members and cushy upbringings. They first garnered attention while playing SXSW in 2007, before releasing their first album, "Lovesick Electric," in 2009. The year 2011 brought with it their second album, "Whatever," which boasted a more playful sound and the double platinum single “Tonight Tonight.” The holidays mean a short break for the hard-playing members of Hot Chelle Rae, but their fans are grateful that they won’t rest on their laurels long.

Best First Concert for my 10 year old daughter!!!

by dragonflymeam on 4/23/13Bryce Jordan Center - University Park

About 2 weeks before this concert, my daughter and I heard the advertisement on the radio and she said how cool it would be to go. That was that, my decision was made about whether or not I was going and more importantly, whether I was going to take my 10 year old for her first concert. She was thrilled the day she found out I had bought tickets. She was so happy to gather up some of her birthday money for a souvenir. The concert was AWESOME, she sang right along with the words and jumped around like a normal concert goer. She made new friends in the crowd and thoroughly enjoyed listening to a band she knew. The tickets give the illusion of actual seats, i.e. bleachers/chairs on the floor level as I have seen in the past when in reality all you're getting is admission to the floor area. Luckily, my daughter is a trooper and she was more than happy to experience a "real" concert, dead center, up front, and close to the action. I did have to hold her up sometimes due to taller people around/ in front of her. Both she and I were surprised that they actually sing "Hung up", for the longest time we thought it was another band, but were extremely pleased to find out it was HCR. After the concert we walked around BJC and found the souvenir stand, she bought a T-Shirt and a bracelet with her birthday money! She has been so excited to wear them to school ever since!! The guys were amazingly friendly and down to earth, engaging the crowd and keep the energy level high! Great show!!! Thank you!!!

Had a blast at the HCR concert!

Hot Chelle Rae's energy was contagious. They all looked like they were having fun on stage and the fans were all really pleased. They even brought some fans on stage to rap with them. My sister's a huge fan and she was rocking out during the concert! I will definitely see them again when they come to Texas.

    Amazing show!

by Marcyd77 on 10/6/12Extraco Events Center - Waco

You know how you get so excited about going to see a band perform after listening to their album repeatedly, then getting to the venue only to be disappointed by the fact that the band sounded so much better pre-recorded? Well, that was so not the case with Hot Chelle Rae! They were just as good, if not better live, than they are on their studio album. The show was very entertaining and worth every penny, plus teh 6 hour round trip drive to go see them! I would go again..and will if they are ever back in North Texas. Great show!

Hot Cheele Rae was excellent. I went for my 9 year old, but I loved it just as much. They sounded great. The lead singer is funny and personable. Lots of energy. Awesome!
