BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

SWV, a.k.a. Sisters With Voices, got their start in 1991 when they shopped their demos around to local record labels, eventually signing a multi-record contract with RCA. Their 1992 debut It's About Time launched the power girl group to worldwide success with six Top 20 singles including "I'm So Into You" and "Weak". Several more acclaimed records followed along with collaborations with hip-hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy, and Lil' Kim. After a long hiatus, SWV reunited and released their fourth album I Missed Us (2012), playing a number of dates in support of the LP. With numerous Billboard Music Awards, two Grammy nods, and honors from VH1 and Billboard under their belts, the women of SWV stand as an iconic R&B act that has paved the way for many young female groups. Whether they’re busting a dance move on stage or thrilling audiences with their impressive pipes, SWV consistently bring down the house on their hit-filled tours.

    Concert for the soul

by LaTroya on 1/17/24Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - Shreveport

The concert was awesome! The DJ and host was amazing and kept the crowd entertained. The seating was close to were everyone wad shoulder to shoulder, good thing I got outside row tickets to where we could slide our seats out for some comfort. The staff wad very helpful helping people find their seats. Troop and SWV are my childhood band groups that me and sister grew up listening to and we danced and sing all night. Very good atmosphere.

    Where was the band?

by Augie on 1/17/24Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - Shreveport

I was disappointed that none of the acts that night had a band. I look forward to seeing a drummer, a guitarist, a keyboard player when I go to a concert. This was more of a karaoke night experience.

The entire show with other performances was overall okay.

    by Slim on 1/16/24

SWV performance was good. The show overall had me tired. To many opening acts and I was becoming annoyed, as well as many others in the audience. Troop performance was good. They still can move and dance really well, after all these years. Overall the show was okay

These ladies have been bad from day one. I saw them in Savannah, GA Their vocals were on point. Coko voice is one of a kind. I am glad these ladies are still together. They have stood the test of time. They are still standing. I wish them much success in their careers and personal lives. SWV making you weak in the knees.

    SWV- Iconic Performance

    by Mr. Murray on 1/6/24

I saw SWV last night, and it was simply amazing. Their vocals are still top-tier, the song list was incredible, and their whole set was captivating. I really enjoyed myself.

    Amazing

by Woo07 on 12/18/23The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

Those ladies did not disappoint! They sang all of their hits and they still sound great….and look great too! Our seats were decent; one seat was slightly blocked by one of the handicapped seats, but we made it work. Getting in was easy. There were more than enough staff there to help direct you to your seat. I’m not a big drinker, but there was a bar on every level…bathrooms close by and clean. I love attending shows at MGM.

    Talented But......

by FLJackson on 12/14/23The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

SWV looked great and sounded amazing! However, the concert started 40 minutes late. This would not have been much of a big deal if they had an opening act however, when you are the only artist/group of the ticket, less audio/technical difficulties, the show should start on time. Also, while they covered their classics, the did not sing them in full version, and with that, and to my disappointment, the concert was over in one hour. Honestly, I would not pay to see them again unless they were sharing the stage with other artists/groups.
