About

THE ORIGINAL WAILERS IN CONCERT:

The Original Wailers continue to do Bob Marley proud, nearly 25 years after his untimely death. During his time with Marley in the '70s, the Original Wailers' Al Anderson practically wrote the book on roots rock reggae, which is why it's no surprise that he's still jamming in 2014. Performing classics like "Get Up, Stand Up" and "No Woman, No Cry" on tour in 2013, the Wailers had fans feeling irie and lighters held high, setting big expectations for another round of good vibes on the road in 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Following Bob Marley's death in 1981, Al Anderson, Marley's lead guitarist from his solo work in '70s, formed the Original Wailers to pay tribute to reggae's most beloved icon. As the vocalist on iconic tracks like "No Woman, No Cry," Anderson helped propel the Wailers to international fame, continuing to work extensively with Marley throughout the decade. In 2012, the Original Wailers released their first-ever EP of new material, earning a Grammy nomination and kicking off a headlining tour. The band continues to keep Bob Marley's music and legacy alive, treating fans to another US tour in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Top Grade Reggae, T.O.W. are incredible, talk is cheap, just get to a show, then you will understand why they are the best."

"Great to see Al hitting those sweet notes on some classic Bob Marley songs. Tight band, good rhythm, fun time, long encore."

"It was a wonderful show with lots of old school reggae tunes, but what I liked more was the original music from the current band. They came alive when they played their own tunes...it was really fun!"

    It was ok

by T. H. on 6/3/19Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I didn't realize until after I bought the tickets that this was not for the band The Wailers. TOW don't have as much energy, or sing as many songs. Still a fun night. Just not as good as normal.

Make sure you’ve got the right Wailers!

by Beach Girl on 6/2/19Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Saw “The Wailers” a few months ago and loved the show. Stayed afterward to get autographs from the original members from the Bob Marley days. Was disappointed when this show “The Original Wailers” started and it was not the same band. If you’re a fan, make sure you’re getting tix to the right band.

    A night to remember

by RasPete on 7/26/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Watching the Wailers play all their classics bought back memories of when Bob Marley and the band took the world by storm during the 70's & 80's during Reggae's heyday.

    Over priced fried hard shrimp

by Anonymous on 3/15/16The Port at Port Canaveral - Cape Canaveral

I was so excited about going to this seafood festival, but very disappointed. The food was high priced, fried hard, and they did not have any more crabs. Will not go again ever.

Awesome. My group enjoyed the event. Seating was not necessary as we preferred to stand up and dance.

    Dissappointed

    by HammerHead422 on 4/4/15Terra Fermata - Stuart

Attended the concert and had to say that it wasn't worth it; the venue complies to a city ordinance and the band only play for a little over an hour. The band members at this event were not The Original Wailers which I saw in concert in Fort Lauderdale at the Culture Room earlier this year. Band played mainly Bob songs and veered from the classics Sadly, the opening act was better than the main act. Though they put more seats out, there weren't nearly enough to accommodate the crowd that attended.

The original retailers were great. They played songs they did with Bob and some new material also. It was all good. All Anerson is a great guitarist. I could listen to his solos all night
