The Astroids Galaxy Tour Killed it

by Soulimbiber on 10/23/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This band puts on an incredible live performance! All you want to do is dance to every song they play. Their new album "Bring Us Together" came out recently, but they still played a lot from their other two albums. The only thing you wish was different is that they played longer, or had more shows in the U.S. so you could keep going to see them.

    The Asteroids Galaxy Tour Tour

by qwerrk on 11/16/12Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

Simply loved this show, the final one on their tour. And I saw the very same show exactly one week earlier in Chicago (@ The Bottom Lounge). TAGT rocked the crowd non-stop at both (somewhat similar) venues. Props to the crew at the Music Hall for hosting this great band. I was able to take video of most of it (really need a better camera but not bad considering). Mette is simply glorious and I was absolutely charmed to speak with her & Lars and the rest of group after the gig. Even bought the vinyl of the latest release (my first new LP in about 20 years :D ) and topped off the night by getting it signed by the whole gang. Not to be missed next time they are on the road.

    Asteroids Galaxy Tour Rocked It!!

by kroc99 on 11/13/12Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

Asteroids Galaxy Tour put on a great show. They had amazing energy and it was a great crowd. They had a good mix of older and newer songs in a 14 song set list. I would have liked the sound have been a little more balanced. I had a hard time hearing some of the vocals because the other lines were up so loud that the vocals were getting covered.

It s a very great experience overall. The enter time is 7 pm so I got there at 7 pm. But the real start time was about 9:30 pm. I think it would be better if they call that out. The AGT is really well organized and practiced. I even thinking would that be dreamy if they will show up in my wedding. The only confusing part is actually from the host, Royale. There's no so called seating, then why sell ticket with seating. Those are the thing I learned from this event. Last I highly recommend this band. I will visit their concert again in the future.

Best show I've ever been to

by Anonymous on 2/15/12The Middle East - Boston

Simply put, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is the best live show I've ever seen, and this is coming from someone who has seen many great live bands over the past couple years. Hell, AGT was actually my second show of the night, with the first being The Kills earlier that night at a different venue(who were also mind-blowing). AGT's live performances consist of five guys on a wide variety of instruments, including the usual drums, keyboards guitar, etc. but also featured trumpets, a flute, and I'm pretty sure there was a saxophone in there somewhere too. And of course, I can't forget the lovely and spectacular Mette Lindberg, who has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard, and who sounds nearly identical to the studio recordings, not to mention her great personality on-stage. Her voice and all the instruments come together to put out some amazing sound. As far as the setlist went, a little less than half the songs they played were from the new album, all of which were amazing. I'm generally one of those guys who mainly just stands around, takes in the music, and doesn't move much, but I was completely into it just a few songs in. The fact that the crowd was going nuts and that I was only a few feet from the stage probably helped too. The venue itself was a little cramped, and uncomfortably warm, but I didn't care in the slightest, and would've payed twice the original cost to see it again, right then and there! If you're even the slightest fan of this band, and have maybe heard only The Golden Age or Around the Bend, you just have to catch these guys, and girl, sometime.
