About

Enigmatic L.A. based duo Rhye features the extraordinary contralto voice of Canadian Mike Milosh and multi-talented Danish instrumentalist Robin Hannibal—two artists who crossed cyber paths when one was remixing the other’s music.

The pair’s 2013 debut album, Woman showcased gifted song writing, breathtaking vocals and deft instrumental arrangements that combine to create a sensual blend of R&B influenced, deeply intimate music.

Though Hannibal does not tour with the live band, Milosh has assembled a cast of accomplished musicians to create an experience that brings Rhye’s music to life. Their first live shows in Australia are not to be missed.

    Meh

by Yardman on 4/5/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

I play Rhye songs every weekend. I jam to this group. I think they're awesome, their sound is electric & the rhythm is contagious. With that being said, this show was lackluster. It felt like he was just playing songs, not a full set. It also felt like the music was very very low and they needed a more powerful sound system. When I saw Stephen Sanchez at the Troubadour, I thought "he'll be playing an Arena next time he comes to LA." When I saw Rhye at the Wiltern I thought, "I hope he plays a smaller venue like the Troubadour next time, because I feel like the show wanted to be intimate but the scale was too large."

    Fantastic

    by A. L. on 4/4/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

The show was magical and very sensual. The muscians were very tight and performed at their best! Really enjoyed this show at the Wiltern!

Hey you back there, could you laugh any harder?

by Namarka on 4/4/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

People on the back rows/at the bar/in the hall kept speaking loudly and laughing as so they are on some friend's party or open-air music festival. Even Milosh (the artist) made an attempt to help them realize, where they are, by trying to sing without a mice. Worked only on second time. It was humiliating for both the artist and audience in the front two areas (who obviously were there to listen to long-awaited live). I have no idea why organizers did not take responsibility for silencing those distracting personas. At least they could have closed doors to the hall. Nothing was done. Total disappointment.

    Bossy jamming

    by A.L. on 2/19/19Neptune Theatre - Seattle

I absolutely love Rhye’s albums, but overall a disappointing performance. The lights were so dim, I could never see the main singer, and that’s what he seemed to want. Why? Also, he ordered the audience to sing along and snap a certain way—seeming annoyed that we weren’t doing this to his standards. Also, I think the sound balance was off so the instruments overpowered his voice. And they liked to jam. A lot of jamming. A LOT. The voice is the centerpiece on the album...not in person. His drab clothing and dark lighting made it seem like he was hiding...?!

Rhye is even better in person!

by MiriB on 3/20/18Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I've been waiting for Rhye to come back to LA for some time and the day finally came. Rhye is one of those bands that are wayyyy better live. Don't get me wrong, their music is gorgeous, but the performance is beautiful. I always leave so happy and at ease. There was a great mix of old and new songs and the occasional joke here and there was fun. Can't wait to see them again!

    Best concert EVER!

by Leashyme on 3/20/18Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

RHYE is one of my favorite artists, but this concert made me love them even more. They performed the songs with new renditions and instrumental solos that moved me! The musicality and entertainment value was absolutely incredible. This is probably my favorite concert I've ever been to. If it's at all possible, they sounded even better in concert than on their albums.
