    Icing on the Cake

by Jimmy B on 2/8/24Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - Brookville

Several years ago, a good friend of mine introduced me to the work of Jimmy Webb. I quickly realized that Jimmy had already written a good amount of what had been the songbook of my life...both literally and figuratively. Seeing Jimmy perform was not only a walk down memory lane, but a reminder of the timeless beauty of words and music that was crafted by a gifted songwriter and musician. It was an inspiring evening filled with beauty, truth, and love. I'm grateful for Jimmy and feel fortunate to receive this gift of sharing his life and love of his work.

    Spending Time with a Legend!

by Tim L on 2/7/24Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - Brookville

My brother and I are both "baby-boomers"so when we got the chance to see Jimmy Webb in person, it was a no-brainer. One of the greatest songwriters of our generation. We both love hearing "banter"during concerts, and wish performers would do more of it. Well Jimmy Webb gave us the best of both worlds. We loved his music and we really loved his stories. It was a night we will never forget. The only downside to it was the technical issues he had with his presentation, which was not his fault at all. Not sure what the cause was, but it didn't hurt the show too much. However, I'm sure Jimmy Webb was not thrilled. Anyway, an A+ concert/show/presentation. Loved it!

    Jimmy Webb at The Vogel

by TommyNat on 5/12/23The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank

The Jimmy Webb was very good. Unfortunately seeing a show at the Vogel Theater is not. Can they possibly make the seating any tighter. Long bench type table seating and everyone packed like sardines in a can. Very hard to enjoy a show when your sitting on top of the person next to you. Funny during Covid lots of protocols from The Basie but now it’s like making up for lost revenue…. Pack on as many in as possible.

    Homage to Glen Campbell

by tutz on 5/11/23The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank

I'm not sure what I expected. Fans of Jimmy Webb know that he is not a vocalist, and I didn't expect him to play through his greatest hits (btw, they all are). However, Jimmy gave us 2 solid hours of his music (7 or 8 songs), interspersed with a multi-media homage to Glen Campbell. He would often have a video of Glen singing and then play his piano along with the recording. Jimmy told a lot of great stories about his music and his friendship with Glen Campbell, an all together very, cozy afternoon. While we acknowledge that Jimmy is not the greatest singer, to be in the same room with him while he played and sang "By The Time I Get to Phoenix" was a moment I'll never forget.

Great performance but at the end he appeared tired.

    Perfect concert experience!

by C. C. on 2/24/20Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Jimmy Webb’s performance was so entertaining. Loved his song selections and his background stories. Would love to see him again. Interesting video background. Venue perfect. However, we purchased our tickets in July and did not understand why our seats were on the last row.

    Get a vocalist

by Coastal Kathy on 2/24/20Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Jimmy Webb is one of the worlds biggest gifts to songwriting. Every song tells a story you are happy to hear again and again , complete with beautiful melodies and always a hook that that is impossible to forget . He is such an accomplished pianist ; one of the best in the world . Love the videos, history behind the music and the piano. The tour would be greatly enhanced by having a young vocalist or 2 . There are so many talented souls out there who would love to be with Mr Webb and sing for him and this would enhance the show.
