    Awesome show, great venue

    by Darren S on 7/26/23

Rhett was amazing! A true entertainer, even when it's just him and a guitar. The Vogel is a great venue. Very intimate, lots of bars with no lines, and great views from everywhere. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the venue is SO dark during the performances that it made it really hard to navigate to our seats without running into things. Additional path lighting would help this a lot.

    Fantastic as always!

by Richard in Madison on 1/29/23High Noon Saloon - Madison

Sometimes when a person gets up on a stage alone with a guitar it can be a dreary affair, but when Rhett does it he brings along a heaping helping of energy, optimism, charisma and great melodies. I've seen him solo and with his band The Old 97s many times over the years, and somehow the guy never disappoints. Catch him if you can! You won't be sorry!

How do you describe audio bliss? Rhett Miller! He is always entertaining. Joe Purdy was great too!

    Rhett is the best!!

by EJR122 on 10/22/16Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Rhett was awesome! I loved the mix between his solo songs and those of The Old 97's. It amazes me how many songs he has the ability to play by memory. I liked the fact that there were chairs because it helped save my feet, but it did make the crowd a little less energetic perhaps. Not me though, my sister and I were singing and dancing in our chairs. Rhett should come back every year. I never get tired of seeing him perform!

Good performer and very personable. Interacted with the crowd and explained how the songs originated. Certainly recommend!

My husband and I were not familiar with these performers. We were on vacation and decided this sounded like a cool concert at a cool venue. We were not disappointed! We were exhausted from our trip to NYC the previous day so we were prepared to leave the concert if we decided sleep would be better. We stayed for the entire show because it was so good and we didn't want to miss any of it. My husband commented on how talented the guitarist is. Everyone was great including the opening act!

    The best $20 show around

by Anonymous on 6/12/12Bowery Ballroom - New York

To quote Saving Silverman: "Rhett Miller is the greatest singer/song writer of this or any generation". I planned a family vaca to see family in NY around this concert weekend (from chicago). Only gave it 4 stars because the Serial Lady Killers (which I guess were called The Believers...) are just not as fun as the Old 97s.

    Awesome as usual

by mrchevyceleb on 6/11/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Dude threw down more than 30 songs in more than two hours, including a bunch of Old 97's tunes, some solo acoustic stuff, some covers and some with a guest singer from the opening band. Staff at Brighton Music Hall was great, as usual. Beers were fair price, as usual, and we got updates on the Celtics game :( from the stage. Thumbs up all around.

    Rhett- Excellent as always!

by GardenOf on 10/24/11Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Rhett kicked ass as usual! High energy, great songs, intimate venue - everything a Stewart Ransom Miller II fan could ask for and more. After he puts on a fantastic show he sticks around to chat, take pictures, and sign autographs. He has wonderful rapport with his audience and gamely launches into requests that are sometimes, in my opinion not so nicely shouted at him while he is trying to speak. I would stand in line again to see him, anytime, anyplace. Thanks for coming to St. Louis, Rhett!
