Most high school bands crash and burn, but teen frontwoman Clementine Creevy has been able to both keep Cherry Glazerr afloat and make it better with time. With help from co-founders Hannah Uribe (drums) and Sean Redman (bass), the group quickly developed a cult following in their native Los Angeles after forming in 2012. The band put together a reverb-drenched cassette release using minimal equipment and their unique sound was enough to impress Burger Records, who quickly signed the rockers. They developed a larger fanbase after touring with artists like Wavves, Best Coast, and Sky Ferreira, and devotees responded by giving their 2014 debut Haxel Princess tons of word-of-mouth support. Cherry Glazerr’s fun and adventurous sound both on record and in concert ensures their continued rise in underground rock.
