    Jonathan was fantastic as usual!

by DeloresL on 7/12/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Jonathan was GREAT! We always love him and it was way overdue that he was at the Birchmere! Moondi and Jimmie were also very talented and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

    Amazingly excellent

by MooKat on 7/8/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Never really followed Jon except liked a couple of his old songs. Invited another couple. We were amazed at the quality of 2 opening musicians--both instrumentally and vocally. Could have their our show. Jon was superb. Expected someone a bit more tired and rough voice. just the opposite. Incredably impressed with his wonderful voice--played piano and Guitar. Coordination with other performers was unusually good. Went expecting a C+-concert---but it was A+

Jonathan Edwards with Jimmy and Moondi

by Timjbd on 7/8/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Jimmy and Moondi opened with a set featuring tunes from their new album, then Jonathan Edwards did a set. Both were nice separately, real pros, but the real treat was when Jimmy and Moondi came back out for an extended combined set with Edwards. These guys sound great together- as if they'd been playing together for years. They had an easy comeraderie that really made the evening. Great night..

Moondi Klein and Jimmy Gaudreau are the best!

by canastarookie on 7/8/12Birchmere - Alexandria

I've been following Moondi Klein since his days with the Seldom Scene and Jimmy Gaudreau with his days with the Country Gentlemen and then both of them with Chesapeake. They are great musicians, are great together and can do a wide range of musical styles. They accompanied Jonathan Edwards for the latter half of his set which was an extra treat. I particularly enjoyed their very lively Louisiana - Texas style songs!
