I had bought tickets to see John McCutcheon and we got Tom Paxton as a bonus. He wrote songs during the pandemic with John and they performed some of them. The second session Tom joined with the Don Juans and played some of his own songs. As he played and sang I realized that I have known his work for more than 60 years. It was a great show and a nice trip down memory lane.

Wonderful intimate evening of music. It felt like Tom was in our living room. It was great to be reminded of all the familiar songs that Tom wrote. The Don Juans were wonderful too. Just the write people to play with Tom. I enjoyed their banter back and forth.

Loved everything about this concert. A special bonus was being able to celebrate Tom Paxton’s birthday — the video montage was very touching. The music and the venue were a perfect reintroduction to events like this since the beginning of the pandemic. The Birchmere is a fun place to be too.
Perfect timing in the opening acts, length of performance, amount of talking. Acoustics better than most Birchmere concerts in terms of the background music not drowning out the singing. Great combination of old and new Paxton material!
Once again, Tom Paxton demonstrated why he has lasted so long in the music business. He, and the wonderful friends that accompanied him, were in good voice, funny, and generally entertaining. Plus they all seemed to be having so much fun on stage.
Tom Paxton is one of the movers and drivers of folk music going back to the 60s, and still going strong, with music new and old, at age 80. For anyone who loves folk music, he is not to be missed; still putting on a great show every time I see him
