Best concert ever! What a show! The Moore Theater is a great venue! I had an excellent evening, thank you!!!!!
I was lucky enough to see Morcheeba play the exact same location over 25 years ago, and they are STILL killing it!!! Skye was absolutely amazing, her voice and the way she moves is mesmerizing. LOVED that they played a few songs from their first album (Moog Island and Trigger Hippie). Jesse Mac Cormack was also great, definitely fit the mood as an opener for them. Very mellow and moody. If you haven't already checked him out, you should!
First off, I want to lead with Morcheeba was really lovely to *hear* live. The main problem that I had with the show was that there were excessive amounts of flashing lights with no warning. They need to warn people that strobe lights will be used and excessive flashing lights will be present so people can make proper decisions about whether or not it safe for them to attend the event. Between my fiancé and I we can manage my sensitivity to flashing lights at most concerts and even Disney World fireworks shows. Normally I wear a leather hat that blocks the typical stage lights that flash on an audience. But they had 2 stage lights facing a large disco ball on the stage itself, and when those hit it sent super bright flashes out into the audience. Okay, fine. We navigated that. It’s their show. It’s my responsibility to take care of myself. The problem came at the end when they sent strong strobe lights onto the disco ball that sent mega flashing lights in every direction that couldn’t be blocked head on and by closing my eyes. It was flashing super bright in my peripheral vision and sent me directly into a bad seizure. My fiancé had to give me my very expensive emergency rescue meds and security had to physically carry me out of my seat and wheel me out of the concert. If my fiancé wasn’t a seasoned paramedic 911 would have absolutely been called and a very expensive trip to the ER would have ensued. Not a fun way to end the night for myself or anyone in my party. WARN PEOPLE THAT EXCESSIVE STROBE LIGHTS ARE USED IN YOUR SHOWS!
Morcheeba was absolutely fantastic! I was only really familiar with one of their albums and they only played one song from that album but that didn’t matter. They put on just an amazing show. Skye is a superstar who should be much more popular. I loved that the seats were all General Admission, that gave me the opportunity to be front row (actually right in front of the stage) where I was able to interact with the band. Skye even wore my glasses for a song and recorded a video with my phone! Highly recommend!!
Took a friend who wasn’t familiar with Morcheeba and she even got swept up in the energy of the band and crowd. It was clearly a room of big fans! Acoustics were really good and I only wish there had been more room to dance and it wasn’t a seated theater.
Morcheeba's concert was fantastic. Skye is such an amazing, personable and charismatic singer. I cannot wait to see them again.
Loved everything about the concert. Amazing energy, music and venue. Morcheeba is one of my favorite bands and they put on an exceptional show
Excellent venue! The sound, the acoustics, the seats - All super nice and comfortable. The band was in true form - Great performance overall. Wish they toured more often! Would love to see a show again at the Lincoln!
Fantastic show, band was tight, loved the venue, up close and personal!
