MASTER P IN CONCERT:
Southern hip hop pioneer Master P remains a swaggering force to be reckoned with more than two decades after he first shook up the rap game with his distinctly Southern sound. He founded seminal label No Limit Records in the early '90s and remains a patriarchal figure of the extended No Limit family, continuing to perform alongside No Limit artists at showcase concerts around the country. No matter who he's sharing the bill with P always brings the ruckus to the stage with party-anthem favorites like "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" and "I Got the Hook Up!". The prolific P has several new albums set to drop in 2016 including the aptly titled Boss of All Bosses, and fans lucky enough to catch him in concert will know without a doubt who's in charge.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Master P, aka Percy Robert Miller, was born and raised in New Orleans but cut his teeth in the Bay Area rap scene after moving to Richmond, CA in his early twenties. There his brick and mortar shop No Limit Records became the avenue for his early releases and eventually the namesake of his record label. P made his debut on the label in 1991with Get Away Clean and followed up with several more albums before returning to New Orleans in 1995, where his uniquely Southern sound really found an audience. His 1996 album Mr. Ice Cream Man was a regional sensation that burned up the rap charts with its title track before local notoriety gave way to national fame the following year when Ghetto D topped both the Billboard 200 and the Top Rap Albums chart. His rise continued in 1998 with the album MP da Last Don, a multi-platinum smash that once again topped the charts. Since then P has consistently released albums and raised the roof on tour while also making his mark as an entrepreneur, author, and filmmaker.

I hate the Erykah wasn't there and there was no explanation (as far as I know). The "good" acts were early on in the show. Jagged Edge REALLY slowed things down and were out of place for this event. The "local" acts near the end were REALLY for locals. I heard the names but couldn't name a song. Or if I knew a song, I didn't know it was by them. They should have been openers, or at least reserved just for performing with Master P. BUT it was his birthday, so his choice of course. Overall the show was just ok, not bad enough to keep me from going again but also not good enough for me to recommend anyone else go.
Master P, Piles, Mai X and Dj all one with the other guy from New Orleans was great, it was hype, the other artists was ok. Just wasn’t like last year which was awesome , looking for better artist.
Nothing will top Master P first birthday bash concert. For me it was okay . All because I had a blast of a time last year. But it was everything for my nine year old son.
A little unorganized but I had an overall great time especially with all the extra performances
Such a great collab of artist! I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite! Early 90s baby, the whole night was a total vibe. Thank you for a great show & night dedicated to something so important right now! #salute
The concert was awesome, but the building was freezing. I can understand that the air needed to on high because of the number of people there. It was too cold. But Master P, and all the artists were wonderful ❤️
Omg the concert was lit and had everyone turnt up from the beginning to the end. Master P did an awesome job putting the concert together.
I give it a 8 out of 10 sound equipment wasn't that great plus erakah Badu no show but overall I enjoyed it
Everyone that performed did a great job. I was so excited to see my favorite female rapper Mia X and she did an amazing job. Plies, Fiend, Webbie and Jagged Edge had the crowd cutting up. It was a great night!
