Richie and the band were simply amazing...great musicianship, singing...and not just a nostalgia act...all the great Buffalo and Poco songs, plus some great new ones as well.. very hard to believe he is 70 years old...has not lost anything in 40 years!!
Ritchie was the 3rd main member of Buffalo Springfield and an artist that I could cross off my bucket list. I'm glad I got to see him in such an intimate setting. His voice sounded just as good as when he was in his twenties, and his band was tight! Thanks for a great show.
Richie Furay was incredible. Not just an "oldies" act. He played new material, as well as tunes from all the stages of his career. He retained his incredible voice and paired that with unbridled enthusiam. It was a memorable show. I hope that he makes it back to the Buffalo/Niagara area in the near future.
Richie Furay concert was one of the best i saw in 2013. Richie did all his Buffalo Springfield and Poco hits plus some new songs. Bears Den is the best venue in WNY. Great concert.
Another stellar performance by the Richie Furay Band, at B.B.King's, in NYC. Three nights in a row, and Richie still rocked with the energy of a man half his age, had spot-on vocals, and owns one of the best catalogues in the business, with songs spanning his career through 6 decades (from The Buffalo Springfield, to Poco, SHF and the Solo years). Still writing great songs, Richie Furay is currently touring with one of the tightest bands you could ask for, including, Jesse Furay Lynch deliverin' dazzling vocals, Scott Sellen's singing and playing any string not nailed down, Aaron Sellen smokin' on the bass and Alan Wayne Lemke rockin' out on drums. Richie is currently working on a new CD, is a Pastor, Husband, Father of 4, Grandpa to 11 and a Musical Icon to the world. Phew ! You know what they say "if you want something done right, give it to someone who's busy". Looking forward to The Richie Furay Band's next visit to the big apple and B.B.King's.
Great night. Lots of Poco deep cuts: Anyway Bye Bye, Crazy Eyes, C'mon mixed with some Buffalo Springfield classics: Sad Memory, Go and Say Goodbye, Kind Woman and a couple of new songs.
A happy show with professional musicians. Good set list. Although 69 Richie Furay does not look it or act like it. It was fun.
As always Richie Furay and his band were Great every song they did brought back memorys of when I was younger. His new songs were just as good. I try to see him every time he comes to New York City.
Friday night in NYC and the show starts at 8 with no opening act and ends at 930? I missed half the show as I arrived a little late and what I saw was not great; Furay's new tunes were weak with his daughter singing lead vocal on a couple of tunes. After reading the Buffalo Springfield reunion reviews I was hoping Furay was going to be on top of his game; I was wrong, the band itself was a "family affair" and they were not the strongest musicians. This was a disappointing show as I am a POCO and Buffalo Springfield fan and, for me, Furay did not deliver.
