About

TRINA IN CONCERT:

Miami-based rapper Trina has been killing it ever since first turning heads with her verse on Trick Daddy's 1998 hit "Nann ". XXL Magazine has called Trina "the most consistent female rapper of all time", and she remains as reliably racy and provocative as ever when she performs her bounce-worthy songs in concert. Whether she's shaking her booty on "Pull Over" or assuring fans that she's still "Da Baddest B*tch", Trina always delivers a party-worthy concert experience full of bass, beats, and bawdy lyrics delivered with the utmost confidence and swagger.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Trina was born in Miami, FL and grew up penning lyrics in her spare time. In the late '90s her rhymes caught the attention of Trick Daddy, who featured her on his 1998 single "Nann". The song was a hit, reaching No. 3 on the rap charts and earning Trina a distribution deal with Atlantic Records. She made her debut in 2000 with the album Da Baddest B*tch, a commercial hit that spawned several successful singles including fan favorite "Pull Over". For her follow-up effort Trina took more creative control, linking up with producer Missy Elliot to record her 2002 sophomore album Diamond Princess. The album peaked at No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, racking up the hit singles "Told Y'all", "No Panties", and "B R Right". Her chart rise continued with 2005's Glamorest Life and 2008's Still da Baddest, which topped both the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Albums charts. With her highly anticipated sixth studio album slated for a 2015 release, Trina has fans dying to hear her new material live in concert.

I have seen Trina multiple times. Each time gets better and better. I love her energy, I love her outfits. Also I appreciate that she does a lot of her older stuff which we All LOVE! I follow her and whenever she is within 5 hours of me I’m off to go see her. It’s worth every dollar. Looking forward to anything else she has coming up!

    Why 1AM?

by Shelli on 3/17/19ORIGAMI - Norfolk

Disappointing to have to wait until 1am. Show was short, but the performance was good! Miss Trick Daddy though, would have been nice to see them performing together, but i guess they fell out.

This was a club performance with an amateur DJ

by Anonymous on 4/10/18Burton Coliseum - Lake Charles

I enjoyed the show, but it was very unorganized and cheaply put together. Lighting was awful, timing awful, the local DJ should never work again. I purchased my tickets to be on the front row of seating. Tickets even stated Front VIP. Upon arrival, there was no seating, just so called "floor access". Each of the main performances did partial songs for 20-30 minutes. The first 2 hours of the show were some local artists. Really? Total disappointment. It was a basic club event.

Backyard Set Was Good, Trina Was a Bit Lacking

by BenDerisgreat on 6/15/15Howard Theatre - Washington

I've seen concerts in this series advertised before and I think the way they're marketed is a bit deceptive. I was under the impression that Backyard would act as a house band for the artist, but that wasn't the case. Backyard played first then Trina came out with a DJ later. That said, Backyard was fun and did a pretty good set. I would have liked them to perform for maybe another 15 minutes but their set was OK. Trina was cool, but she didn't seem to have a lot of energy. It might have been more fun if I was a bigger fan of hers.
