I've been to several concerts at the Grey Eagle, Was definitely not worth the ticket price and removing Flock of Seagulls without any notification to ticket holders was not cool!
Hi There. Loved Spoons and Honeymoon Suite. The issue came with the last minute switch out of Flock of Seagulls for Aldo Nova. 1) There was no communication of the change. 2) That was not an equitable switch. Not the same calibur at all. Spoons should not have been first to stage. In future, make all aware of line up change, try to find equivalent band, if not compensate accordingly.
This event was advertised as the Spoons, Men without Hats, Flock of Seagulls and Honeymoon Suite. Shortly before the date, FoS was taken off the bill and a hard rock, no name band from the 80s was substituted. This left only 2 bands we were really interested in seeing and when we got there, we were told they could only play one 30 minute set each. We were very disappointed that the best (in our opinion) bands were short changed and the other 2 bands were given significantly more time! We felt we should’ve been told this in advance. We liked the Spoons and Mw/oH very much, but wouldn’t have bought tickets if we knew their sets were going to be so short. We found aldo nova and honeymoon Suite way too loud and left early.
Was so awesome to see Honeymoon Suite with my girls from highschool. We were up dancing the entire time! Great venue awesome band!!!
Honeymoon Suite was the final performer of a 4 band 80s concert. They were outstanding!! Great energy, voices and very entertaining instrumentalists. They put on a full concert which was a welcome bonus. We were expecting a short set like the others. They've still got it and well worth catching if you get the chance. Looking forward to checking out their new album!
What a great show with Spoons, Men w/o Hats & of course Honeymoon Suite.. and a super trip down memory lane !! What stands out? Well, in my younger years, as the Pub manager for the Student Council , hiring these legendary bands before they became well known, was truly great to see they still have it, and didn’t miss a beat,, WELL DONE 🤷♂️🎸🎤
Very disappointed to find out the band we went to see was not there. Second concert in this venue and we find that the music is VERY LOUD, hard to hear the words of the singers. Did however enjoy Men without hats and their energy. SAFETY dance rocked!
We enjoyed everything that evening except ultra nova. Found them Blane, more very very musical notes loud . Needed it toned down some. At times couldn't hear the words what few words were sung Other groups great. Made you wanna get up and dance
The first two bands spoons and Men without hats were excellent. Then honeymoon suite came out played a good song. Then the rest of their time on stage was solo guitar riffs it is so boring people are walking out.
It was fun to hear all the songs we loved and see the bands play them like they always had. Super to see so many dancing in their rows.
