About

In November 2013, Counting Crows released their seventh album Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow, a live recording from their recent stint as headliners on the Outlaw Roadshow festival tour. The album reflected the band's pristine sets on the tour, which treated ticket buyers to Adam Duritz's haunting lyrics, the band's tight musicianship, and intense, emotional renditions of hits like "Rain King." On both the album and in concert, the band approached old and new material with a fresh eye, surprising fans with alternate versions of hits like "Round Here" and exploring new territory with covers of Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead.

The band's 2013 shows displayed the same energy they've had since breaking onto the scene in 1993, when they performed as stand-ins for Van Morrison at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony and impressed attendees with their powerhouse performance of Morrison's "Caravan." That same year, the band's album debut August and Everything After reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200, propelled by catchy, powerful singles like "Mr. Jones" and "Round Here." Both songs remain '90s alt-rock anthems, garnering fervent audience reaction on the Crows' 2013 tour dates. In late 2013, fans were delighted by the news that the band were returning to the studio to begin work on a new album, slated for a 2014 release.

    12 Shows in 2023

by MurderOfOne1976 on 2/3/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Legends of the road. We travel the world seeing Counting Crows and always look forward to their next show. If you are complaining about Adam “not singing songs like the album” then you are not a true fan. We go to the shows year after year to hear him sing songs the way he feels. As far as him “not hitting the high notes”, you trying doing that 56 shows in a row after 30 years of doing it. He saves it for when he needs it. It would be boring to Crows fans if they just performed the radio hits night after night. Waiting for the 2024 shows!

    Emotionally beautiful experience

by Chuck on 11/29/23Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Excellent warm up with Dashboard Confessional that transitioned seamlessly into the Counting Crows. The song list was intelligently considered to allow for optimum emotional engagement with such incredibly talented musicians. The bands message was clear in the dialog transitioning from song to song...accept one another and effort should be made to create peace. This was experienced throughout the show and as members of both bands collaborated on several songs to close the event in a 'just right' way. Highly recommend this show

    Adlib

    by Steve on 11/6/23

Some of the best shows I've been to are where the band plays their songs as they are heard on the albums they're from. Issue with Counting Crows are Adam likes to go off script and rearrange most everything. Stop changing what got you here and give the poeple what they came for. I mean, they literally played a Taylor Swift song. Boy oh boy

Great show, great venue. Adam still sounds amazing. Love some of the new spins on old songs, so cool to hear them reimagined. Definitely a band I will continue to see.

    Amazing! Best show ever.

Wasn’t expecting to be so close to the stage, so very surprised when made our way to the floor. Surrounded by very nice fellow CC fans. Purchasing wine before the show was supremely easy. Before the show starts I spot a familiar person onstage. Locked eyes with none other than Adam Duritz before the opening act. Duritz announced the opening act like he was an old friend of the whole audience. Dash Board confessional was good, but Counting Crows KILLED! I’ve been waiting 20+ years for a show like this. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Chateau Ste Michelle, Counting Crows and everyone involved for putting on such an awesome show! It was amazing. I’ll never forget it.

Counting Crows = awesome! Venue = gorgeous! Over-served drunk girls falling down every 30 mins in front of my 15 year old = lame. Overall, 5 stars. We had a blast!
