About

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon's unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band's explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run." That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA's coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.

From 1977 to 1989, the band released nine consecutive albums all certified Platinum or higher. Today, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums around the globe, and Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Dave Amato (guitar), Bryan Hitt (drums), and Derek Hilland (touring keyboardist) are still electrifying audiences worldwide in concert with hits and fan-favorites such as "Ridin' The Storm Out," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Time For Me To Fly," "Roll With The Changes," the aforementioned "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run," and many, many more.

Love REO, but will not go again

    by LarryC on 1/31/24

The last 3 times I have gone to see REO, the bass and drums are turned up so much you cannot hear any of the vocals. I am not sure if that is an issue with the band, the sound crew, or Mitchell Pavilion. Went with friends last year and we were gone 4 songs into the set. You can hear him clear as day when talking on the mic, but when the music starts you can't hear a word. Not going to try again. .

    Great Concert & Venue

by Tbird0712 on 1/31/24Harrah's Cherokee Resort Event Center - Cherokee

The REO SPEEDWAGON Concert in Cherokee at the Casino was awesome. It's a small Venue so you have a good seat no matter where you sit. And the people who work at the Casino...especially at the concert venue are exceptionally nice and helpful. But being able to finally see REO SPEEDWAGON In concert after waiting 40 years to see my all time favorite band..and to be able to see them so up close! Unbelievable. I felt like I was 20 again!! Thanks Harrahs Casino!! And great Concert REO!! I'm headed to see you guys in Florence with Rick Springfield in March 2023!! Can't wait.

    Best venue ever!

by Rocker Jam on 11/19/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

This was probably one of the best concerts I ever attended. REO Put on a great show, the venue, Humphrey on the Bay, was awesome. We had the dinner package and the food was terrific. Our room overlooked the bay. and we had a beautiful evening to top it off. Will definitely go there again.

    Great Fun

by MrsK on 11/16/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

They sounded great. Kevin had a little story to introduce each song, which was great. There isn't a bad seat in the house at the beautiful Venetian theater. The only issues were that the volume was a little too loud; we were not far from the back of the balcony and it was almost to the point of distorting the lyrics. Also, there was some drunk who insisted on standing up and dancing with his open drink which resulted in the inevitable; he spilled it on some other fan and a fistfight, quickly quashed by other patrons, ensued. That was during the last song and he wasn't blocking our view, so it didn't bother us. Overall a really great evening!

    REO Speedwagon

by DonnaMac on 11/16/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

REO Speedwagon is one of my very favorite bands, and I loved hearing them live. However, the audience ruined it for me, so I left early. Throughout the concert, the audience was talking and laughing loudly, which ruined the concert for me, as they were louder than the music! If these people are there to hear the band, why don't they shut up!!!

Loved the band, but not the venue

by Bas on 11/16/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

REO did not disappoint. The music was excellent, and I loved the enthusiasm of the band and the audience. However, Humphreys needs to wake up. The venue has been around a long time and by now should have found a way to install, elevated seating, more comfortable seats that can accommodate some of today’s larger people, and video screens that allow everyone to see what’s happening on stage. For the money that they charge, they are very much behind the times in technology and attendee experience.

    Lead singer charming, venue lacking

by Monkey on 11/16/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

The lead singer was enjoyable, but the band acoustics could not overcome the off key drunk sing-alongs from the audience.
