Otherness is the first album in over a decade from the group Rolling Stone declared "put Canadian post-hardcore on the map." Five guys playing aggressive rock grew to a hockey-arena headlining phenomenon while pushing and pulling between spirited guitar leads, melodic might, and emotional weight.
AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, all Music Canada Platinum-certified: Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Kerrang! counted Crisis (2006) among the 50 Best Albums of the 21st Century, alongside undeniable classics from Green Day, Muse, Slipknot, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, and Fall Out Boy. After Crisis hit No. 1 in Canada, at a stage where many bands compromise in search of greater success, Alexisonfire doubled down with even heavier riffs on album four, Old Crows/Young Cardinals. Released in 2009, it became their highest-charting record in America.
The guys never sacrificed the punk soul summoned in beat-up vans and basement shows. Blending their classic sound with new and forward-thinking textures, they produced Otherness themselves. Jonah Falco of Fucked Up mixed.
As Revolver Magazine noted in 2019: "It's hard to overstate the influence Alexisonfire had in post-hardcore through the mid-2000s, their combination of singing and screaming setting the blueprint for many artists to come."
Alexisonfire has played shows at well-known venues such as The Fillmore (Detroit), Trees (Dallas), and History (Toronto).
Been listening to them for 20 years and had my very first chance to see them live. Even far from the stage, it was enough to enjoy the experience and to be very honest, it felt like I was watching my long time friends performing. Incredible concert. i literally loved it so much. it was awesome, they played the best songs ever and it was the best experience ever.
Alecisonfire was phenomenal. The venue was better than expected. I arrived early to park so im not sure about any hassles regarding that. Bathrooms were great. Staff were friendly. Food was fast. Good experience!

ALEXISONFIRE put on a great show. One of the best I’ve seen there. Staff at the venue were top notch
$16 for a small chicken sandwich. $15 for a beer. I remembered why I don't often come Budweiser Stage. I live very close to the venue and would love to visit more often but the prices of everything are the highest of any live music venue in Toronto.
Great show. As an AOF lifer I can tell you that they always give it 100 and this show was no exception. The sound was tight and everyone’s vocals were on point. Highlight for me was the cover of Fully Completely by the Hip. Brought a tear to my eye RIP Gord.
If you got the money it’s worth it in the floor/200 levels, such a good experience. Overpriced beer n food tho.
