    Overall great experience.

by 21 on 4/1/19Times Union Center - Albany

This year concessions were much more accessible and staffed appropriately making wait time typical for this size crowd. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was there for the NCAA WBB Regional. The one large speaker in the arena was very loud based on our seat location, it is the ONLY speaker in the arena. I was there with small children and the restrooms located on the lower level v. The concourse was inconvenient.

Albany Times Union Center - In and Out Hassle

by JoeyP on 4/1/19Times Union Center - Albany

The recent regional round of the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship was held at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. The games themselves ( three held on two different days) were great, but the NCAA should think carefully before assigning similar games in Albany again. The 30-year old venue is now quite dated. There are no rest room facilities on the main level, which requires patrons to walk down a set of concrete steps to the lower level area. The corridors between the stands and concessions are narrow leading to heavy congestion at times. The concessions themselves are small with no areas for people to wait in line without spilling over into the pedestrian walkway areas. But I believe the greatest drawback is the way the facility has been shoehorned into the downtown area. It is very difficult to find the entrances to the small attached parking garage and there are only one or two entrance and exit areas. For the final game we arrived in the downtown area right after the doors opened only to find the arterial near the arena was completely clogged. We decided to exit before the normal one for the arena and wound up in just as clogged local streets. There was very little evidence of police presence to help move things along. It took us about 45 minutes to finally get into the garage and park our car. By the time we found our seats the game was about to begin. Leaving was a little better but not much. Very frustrating.

Awesome game. NCAA should be ashamed that they had Two 1 seeds playing each other in the elite eight. Who ever came out on top or lost was robbed by the NCAA of a chance at going to the final four. Louisville deserved better than that!

Great Event; Great Parking; Mediocre Facilty

by LND on 4/1/19Times Union Center - Albany

Great weekend watching these elite Women's Div 1 basketball players/teams. Love the ease of parking and traffic flow (Bridgeport is a nightmare) The venue, TUA, could use a little overhauling. Additionally, the delay between ordering the tickets to their eventual arrival is/was worrisome

Good games! Expensive food though. Venue seats too small for people 6 ft or taller. Good price.

    UConn Won

by BigGuy on 4/1/19Times Union Center - Albany

All the Women's BB games were great! And UConn won the Regional!!! The halftime "enertainment" was a little lame and the venue needs updated - its small, crowded, and very poor restroom facilities. Having the band play the National Anthem on Sunday was a very nice touch. The vocalist on Friday was not so good. It would be nice to have a local military guard present the colors during the National Anthem. Also, when you buy just tickets several months ahead like we did, it would be nice to get "center" section seats and not have to pay PrimeSport for stuff we don't want.

by Royalsmom on 4/4/18Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Venue nice & comfortable. Red carpet w/ players entering on game day was awesome! Kids loved it looking up at female players that were 6'7"! Whole experience was worth ticket price from Friday semis to finals. Hard to outperform 3 games, 2 OT& 2 game winners!

    Fantastic competition!

by jjsct on 4/4/18Nationwide Arena - Columbus

I have attended or watched every women's Final Four tournaments since 1990. This was, by far, the best, and most competitive tournament of them all.. The BB was absolutely unbelievable! Any one of the four teams had the potential to have walked away as National Champion. Both over-time game were decided by one or two shots or one or two defensive "stops". The outcome wasn't clear until the final seconds - or to be more accurate, until the final second or tenth of a second! Every team here should have received a trophy for outstanding play. It looks like parity has finally come to women's basketball. The drama in this year's Final Four was truly "heart stopping".

Great event. I saw some great basketball and met a lot of great people. My seat was in one of the tower rooms which really gave me a unique experience.
