Lovely setting for a great comedy show. Eddie/Suzy Izzard never fails to bring laughter to an audience.
I've been a fan of Eddie Izzard for years, so it's not surprise that the show was amazing. McCaw Hall was a lovely venue. It was nice to get drinks and snacks before the show and enjoy art and exhibits in the atrium space. Staff were friendly and helpful. The seats were comfortable and not too cramped, with a good view.
Absolutely enjoyed the show. Eddie was, as usual, just great. Lots of fun! Going to Eddie’s shows is a tradition I’ve had with my kids for years! Love, love!!
Acoustics were bad, not the Eddie I remember. Sad all around
Suzy/Eddie did not disappoint! I have been a fan for years and she has only gotten better. The show is a blend of material I hadn't heard before blended seamlessly with nods to past material. Her comedy remains intelligent, challenging, and most of all...funny.
Eddie Izzard was fabulous, and our seats were great!
Eddie/Suzy doesn't even know how to do a bad show. She keeps the entertainment and the laughs coming every minute. I love her humor -- honest, upfront, silly -- while she makes us laugh at ourselves and our institutions and icons. When I'm stressed, I settle in and watch one of her shows on a streaming service, which makes me relax and let go. This is the first time I've seen her on stage, and it won't be the last!
My 4th time seeing Eddie live, and it was the best time. Smart, surreal, stream-is-conscience brilliance.
It was a great show. Eddie used references to some of his greatest bits. I felt like there was too much emphasis on a couple of subjects. The sound system in the hall made it difficult to understand some of what was said.
This is the 2nd time we've seen Eddie Izzard perform and this show was just as brilliant as the last one. I laughed my way through the whole show.
Eddie Izzard is amazing! He is, by far, my favorite performer. His humor is intelligent, and hilarious without slapstick or foul language. Just incredibly funny and entertaining. The venue was OK, but the sound was muddy, so it was difficult to catch everything Eddie said. That was disappointing. San Diego Civic should work on their audio.
Eddie Izzard has a delivery like no other comedian in the world. Distinctive voices and facial expressions highlight a hysterical historical review. We have seen him many times over the years in both large halls and intimate settings to try out material on live audiences and have never been disappointed in his performance. A diamond.
Brilliant, creative and hilarious! As an ex-pat Brit always love watching Eddie.
I enjoyed it all the only bit he did not reference was "Do you have a flag"!? But other than that it was wonderful to finally see him/her perform in person.
Eddie Izzard is a blazing cannonball burning through the doldrums of banality at the speed of light! Better hold on, babe, because this ride has stamina and girth! Once you lose your hold you’re toast! Great show and I have waited years to see him🔥💋😎🤘
I've loved Eddie/Susy for years and I was thrilled that they came to my town to perform. It was wonderful. So funny and always interesting. I didn't lboe the acoustics that much and had to cup my hand to my ear a few times during their funny intentionally mumbly bits but I had a lovely time despite that! Can't wait to see them again.
She is fabulously comical! Love the wit, intelligence, and deep jokes. I have seen her over the years in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris , always a joy!
Izzard's well established style was evident throughout but, just like the pizza from your favorite place, was relatively predictable. It was great, like seeing an old friend after a long absence, but in my opinion, a bit too much of the show was spent mumbling meaningfully while pantomiming the usual tropes. I laughed consistently, if not a bit indulgently.
I’m a big and longtime fan, never seen her live but the show did not fail to completely amaze me! Two hour show, still don’t know how she was able to stay so funny and do all the sounds to accompany the dialogue. She’s a comic genius! Don’t miss it!!
I have seen Eddie Izzard numerous times, and he never disappoints.
