I took my neighbor to see the production and not only was she blown away by the production but the fact that there was not a bad seat in the theater. As for myself, this was as good if not better than the first time I saw it some 20+ years ago. If it returned, I’m going again to see it and would be recommending it to all my friends.
What a show
All around great show, from the dances to the songs to the story line phenomenal job by everyone
Tevya was wonderful - beautiful voice and expressed complexity of character so well. Ensemble work was great - dance numbers maintained tradition with a clean, modern edge. Very meaningful and timeless story.
fiddler on the roof
The show was excellent. The music was great and the cast did an excellent job. I would recommend attending this show.
My Own Fault
The performers are amazing! I only give it one star so Ticketmaster will recommend things to me that I like, and unfortunately I just did not like the story. It is absolutely my own fault, it's such an old musical I just assumed I would like it because I figured it was mainstream. I had no idea what it was about, it was the most depressing story. I know, I know, how on Earth did I not know what the story was about? No one ever told me! I guess I thought there'd be more fiddle playing? Maybe fiddle playing on a roof? Nope. My expectations were something along the lines of Chimney Sweeps on roof from Mary Poppins. Do not go if that is what you are expecting.
Awesome touring company. Love this play the actors were great and lighting and sound spot on.
The play was fantastic. The acting was amazing. The story kept us all entertained the entire time. The only issue we had was with the seats of the actual theater. The chairs were small, very uncomfortable and had very little room for your legs.
Amazing show! The interpretation if tevye was great! "If I were a rich man"
Fiddler: nothing spectacular
I’ve been a huge fan of this musical for over a decade. It’s in my top 5 of favorite musicals. Maybe that’s why I was underwhelmed by this production. The lines were almost exactly the same as the movie, and sometimes given with the same inflections.... Can you say predictable? I didn’t feel like the characters were truly a family, and the sets seemed almost unfinished, as if time got away from them and they had to cut down. I always look for a stand-out number in a show, and I can’t think of any number that was over-the-top amazing. I liked the show, but for the money spent, I don’t think it was worth it.
Fiddler on the roof
It was by far the best play I’ve seen in the last few years. The dancing was amazing. They kept it almost exactly as the movie which to me is very important. The actors were so talented. A plus
