PBR: Professional Bull Riders on Tour

For a rodeo rider, trying to master a feisty horse is tough enough, a task not to be taken lightly, but bearing down on a big bull increases the scariness quotient considerably. That's one of the things that makes watching a pro bull rider so compelling — it's thrilling and frightening in equal measure as you marvel at the riders' skills while praying that they make it out unscathed.

These days, when it comes to bull riding, it's all about PBR: Professional Bull Riders. The organization started back in 1992 as a grassroots effort spearheaded by a handful of riders with a vision for what the sport could offer to fans. PBR grew by leaps and bounds over the decades, and by the 2010s they were sponsoring three major tours every year, adding up to hundreds of events with millions of dollars in prizes being awarded annually.

Needless to say, attending a PBR event means watching the best bull riders in the business strutting their stuff. Over the years, champs like J.B. Mauney, Kody Lostroh, Justin McBride, Adriano Moraes, Chris Shivers, and Tuff Hedeman have all distinguished themselves as decorated heroes of the PBR, giving all the rest a high standard to which they could aspire. And each of their tours offer fans the opportunity to catch some bull riding history in the making, be it the Unleash the Beast Series that ends with the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, The Velocity Tour that showcases the rising stars of the PBR, or the Touring Pro Division split into Western, Central, and Eastern regions.

Whichever PBR competition you end up catching, there's one common thread. You're guaranteed to see some world-class athletes reaching deep inside themselves to tap into the best of their talents and give rodeo lovers an unforgettable experience.

    Fun Times

by Old PBR Man on 4/15/24Hero Arena at the Mountain America Center - Idaho Falls

We had a great time. It was exciting and something different to attend. We still love a good rodeo but would attend PBR again if it came to town again!

    BLOCKED VIEW

by LBW on 4/15/24Hero Arena at the Mountain America Center - Idaho Falls

Our view was blocked by the stair railing and our leg room was also cut short because of it. Was not aware of this when we purchased our tickets. PBR was great from what we saw

    Blam! That was fun.

by Bullride on 4/15/24Hero Arena at the Mountain America Center - Idaho Falls

Will purchase tickets to this everytime it comes back. It was a great venue. The stock was fantastic, as a fan of the big build, it was fun to see some of the best in America. The whole event was great fun, with Smoke and fire and lots of action.

    Not PBR riding.

    by Sue on 4/14/24

We fell in love with PBR after attending an event in Nampa Idaho a couple of decades ago. After finding out they were coming closer to home we jumped to buy tickets as well as for family. We found the hype of the opening ceremony and the rodeo clown to be great as he kept the crowd alive. But to our disappointment we did not see the quality of riders like we had experienced before. 4 out of 45 riders were only able to make the 8 sec ride. Most of the riders who were mostly local or nearby riders barely made it out of the chutes. Not sure if I’d attend another PBR at the Idaho Falls Mountain America again. It was not what I expected for riding performance.

    Extremely misleading

by MC Hammed on 12/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Kid Rock RockNRodeo was extremely disappointing. Advertising did not match the actual event. $270 US for tickets to see PBR folks talk about making teams for 20mins, with no performances. When in fact it was supposed to be hosted by Cole Hauser, having live entertainment. We are huge PBR and Kid Rock fans and our group came from Canada to attend this "can't-miss event". We hope that PBR and Kid make this right again for fans that attended, since it doesn't look good on either brand by duping fans.

    Bait & Switch

by Joe on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Bought tickets ($250 each) to this event thinking Kid Rock would be performing as it was listed with his upcoming concerts. Several people I talked with in line & at the event thought the same thing. I think about 70% of the people there thought so. It turned out to be a couple celebrities expressing their personal and some political views for an hour. Kid Rock seemed in a hurry to get out of there. This was by far the worst money I have ever spent for an event anywhere. A huge waste of time & money. A 1 star rating cause there is no 0.

Event held did not meet expectations

by DD on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was a disappointing event. Kid Rock did not sing. The amount paid was ridiculous for this event. We were extremely disappointed and let down and we were not the only ones. Still looking for compensation/refund.

Waste of time. Kid Rock PBR

by Camper on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Kid Rock (who I’m a fan of) hitched his name to this and then charged $300 per ticket and didn’t even sing a song. Everyone there was totally disappointed as they felt they got ripped off. I wouldn’t have even paid 50 for this if I knew KR was not going to sing one song. Don't waste your time with this event! Cmon KR…I thought u cared a little more about your hard working fans!

I paid to go to an Infomercial

by JTK on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

What an overpriced, poorly planned, event I have been to. The Entertainment to Dollar ratio was not worth it. I was a lot of information almost NO entertainment. It was.an obvious money grab. No effort to entertain the crowd.....Do Better PBR

    Outrageous false advertisement

by MusicAdentureFan on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was not a Kid Rock concert, despite the very misleading description under the “get tickets” link: “Kid Rock's Rock N' Rodeo is a reimagined, team-formatted Western event, with six teams competing in bracket-style competition featuring Kid Rock live in concert, playing all his hits and more as well as other musical acts curated by the artist who has sold nearly 30 million records.” People travelled from all over the US, paid $300-500 per ticket, plus flight, hotel, and recording everything in Vegas to wait in line for 2 hours vying for optimal seats to see Kid Rock perform at 9:00. As every 30 minutes passed, with teasers of Kid Rock songs being played, the audience was ecstatic when he finally came on stage at 10:20 pm, only to wait another 1 hours for him to completely exit the stage with no performance of any of his known music (besides a 20 second rap solo to no music whatsoever). Really,?! We paid $300 each for 20 seconds of rap? Fans remained 2.5 more hours in hope he would return to stage. I was not only outraged that I left my family at home for what I thought was a rare opportunity to see Kid Rock in fairly intimate venue, this worth the $1000 this trip and the ticket cost me, but I felt horrible on behalf of those who had literally planned this trip as their Christmas and/or annual vacation, completely deceived and likely devastated. I am certain that Livenation will not tolerate such deception and wi reach conclusion with PBR and Kid Rock, folloei the misleading ticket description, to provide full refunds plus discount to another show in attempt to remedy the lost time and money for hundreds of fans.
