    Makes you think

by Andrea D on 3/30/24Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - Chattanooga

As a mental health professional I suggest everyone go see this show! I have always been a huge fan of Alanis Morissette's music. But to set scenes about issues that are seen everyday to her music send a powerful message. The musicians, dancers, and actors convey everything with such power and emotion. I would have loved to shake every one of their hands! I will see this every time it comes to my area!

    Incredible cast and crew

    by 3david on 3/29/24

Yes, the content can be a bit hard to watch, because (spoiler alert) it's not a comedy. I only knew 3 or 4 of Alanis Morrissette's big hits before this show, so I was unfamiliar with most of the music. So having said that, I was proud to be a part of a standing ovation for this show (as well as a LONG round of applause for Jade McLeod's show-stopper "You Oughta Know."The cast is brilliant, and even the "backup"people are spectacular. It's fun to watch them do the set changes. Like everything else, their execution is flawless. Shelby Finnie, who plays the lead character's avatar, is an amazing dancer. Saw this in Chattanooga, TN and it was a truly memorable live theater experience. Highly recommended.

    It was Ok

by Jack on 3/29/24Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - Chattanooga

Great to hear her songs but the plot of it wasn't anything special. Also the production of the traveling show seemed kind of low budget.

A good performance but the audio/sound was not great

by Stella R. on 2/15/24ASU Gammage - Tempe

This is my second time seeing a production of Jagged Little Pill. This production was pretty well acted and well executed but the sound in Gammage was not great. It was difficult to clearly here the actors' dialogue and the sound during the music and singing scenes did not sound very clear and there was a lot of base in the music. It is my first time watching a production at Gammage, so I am not sure if it is the theater or the production. Either way, the show was not as enjoyable as it could have been.

    A powerful experience

by Dee on 2/10/24ASU Gammage - Tempe

Not only is Jagged Little Pill a powerful story about addiction, abuse, and perfectionism, but it reminded me of how powerful the songs still are all these years later. The actor in the lead role of MJ was astonishingly good.

    Underwhelming but ok

by PickyPatty on 2/8/24ASU Gammage - Tempe

Ths venue is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. All of the ushers/employees were more than helpfull and kind. Parking and adequate bag policy communication could improve. The set was simple but dynamic and I liked the use of the screens as well as the band featured above the stage. The characters and story were relevant to current events, stereotypical, and relatable in some way for most. It was slightly predictable of what would happen next. I really didn't have much expectations but still wanted to be WOWed. I am a devout Alanis fan and may have higher standards and a different & deeper connection to the songs used. The adjusted lyrics were cringey and the songs used for scenes didn't always match the scenario. There was a standing ovation at the end so my perspective was not shared.by the majority. I can say I saw it and put it behind me now.
