Q BBQ Fest Denver Tickets

What happened? I have been going to the BBQ Fest Denver since it started, I have always bought the V.I.P. option. This year was so disappointing, the V.I.P experience was not present as previous years. What happened to the fast V.I.P. lanes and covered private seating areas and beverage options at each vendor? Had to wait in in line with the GA, and go back to the 2 spirit bars each time my small drink was almost empty to wait in line again. To add what happened with the renowned pit masters from Memphis, Texas, and Kansas City? Most were local. Denver isn't known for excellent BBQ, one can drive and try. Needless to say this is the last year of attendance for us. Good luck in the future if this quality continues for your V.I.P. experience.

There are good BBQ options and the unlimited drinks with our VIP tickets were great. However, I’m not sure it’s worth $130. The live music was stellar but the VIP area did not have any seating which was a bummer since we had to leave there to find a spot to hang out with our group. Perhaps lowering it to $100 would be more appropriate. Easy entry!

12-3 pm but really didn't get in until about 12:15 pm. The lines were long and mostly in the sun with little options. Little to no shade available to sit. Stopped serving beer at 2:30 pm. Was not worth the 109$ plus tax that I paid. Will not be attending in the future.

Was too expensive for what we got, especially if one doesn’t drink alcohol. Less varieties of food than when it was a la carte.

There was a lightning delay for 40 minutes of the 'early access' hour and we got NO BBQ from the VIP area as it ran out pretty quickly. The food we had was great and the all you can drink was fun, but the all you can eat concept did not work in our favor as everything in the VIP section had been eaten by 6:15 or so except churros (despite the 40 minute lightning delay in which no one was eating). It was cool watching the demos and chatting with pit masters.

The BBQ festival in Denver did not disappoint. The BBQ was high quality and lots of different options and even sides/desserts. The drink options were also good. The staff were very friendly and fun at every booth which I appreciated so much. Only complaints: Pricey ticket Ticket entry time was different than what time we were allowed in. Drink bracelets should be given at entry or communication to get them at a drink booth. I hope to attend next year. Such fun.

I have gone to this event for the past four years. It never disappoints. The event is very well organized, the staff is friendly and the pit masters are top notch! The VIP experience is well worth it, in my opinion. It's a treat being able to get in an hour before the general public to sample all the deliciousness. We always leave there happy and very full. Keep coming to Denver!

Had a great time and got to try lots of delicious BBQ. Loved that there was more covered seating than there has been in years past!

Quality of the bbq was hit and miss, but the most disappointing thing was watching all the booths pack up around 6:30 pm. The session was supposed to last from 5:00-8:00. That's a pretty big ticket price for half the time promised. Probably won't go again.

For the ticket price of $140 the vendor selection was kind of small. I really didnt rave over anything until walking out when one vendor was giving away big samples of their smoked pig. Overall it was an ok event but would like a bigger selection.
