I bought four tickets, two adult and two children, for my daughter's 7th birthday. I spent almost $400 on very good seats, but left before the first act concluded as the girls were not at all interested and disappointed that they didn't get to see real princesses. I guess I expected better costume design and assumed the three singers would rotate to allow for costume changes. Instead, they wore the same dresses throughout with the corresponding movie playing in the background. To make it worse, most of the songs that were sung while there were from the 90s and, although my friend and I grew up in that era, we didn't even recognize some of the songs :(. Very disappointing.
I didn’t like the beginning with young kids there and learning about the boy who was playing with dolls as a child. The show itself was misleading as far as princesses. They could’ve at least dressed up. The first half of the show was boring. I have been to several Disney events and this was probably the worst one. The girls were even questioning why the girls singing wasn’t in costume. Also a lot of ladies in the restroom were complaining and people left after half time. It was not a good show and I wouldn’t recommend this one.
The Disney princesses concert was really great. The ladies had previous experience performing in Broadway. They were engaging with the audience, and their songs were perfectly pitched and balanced to sound like the Disney soundtracks. I like how they shared their bios before the show started so you could get to know a little bit about each performer. I also liked the duets that they performed with a male singer. He also sang the male soundtracks to movies like Hercules and the hunchback of Notre Dame I think the show would be best, if the ladies can dress up like the princesses that they are portraying, but I understand that costume changes take time and with only three of them the show would’ve been cut short
Our kids loved it! Perfect length, great songs, and an intermission. Highly recommend.
THOUGHT THE SHOW WOULD BE MORE TOWARDS PRINCESSES AS FAR AS BEING DRESSED AS SUCH. MUSIC WAS GOOD BUT I FEEL THE CHILDREN AS MYSELF EXPECTED MORE.
This show was so much fun! As a 90s kid, this show was pure nostalgia. I brought my mom and we had so much fun talking about how we remember when these movies came out. We felt like little kids!
Disappointed there were no actual princesses. Granddaughter doesn't understand "played a princess". She was expecting more princesses and them in costumes. Their performance was very good.
Very enjoyable show, great costumes and voices. Good song selection and pace. Good fun!
We purchased tickets for 5 in the orch section. My daughter’s dressed up like their favorite princess expecting to see princesses on the stage. The singing was lovely. BUT my youngest (5) kept asking me , mommy, when are the princesses going to come on in their princess clothes.. she was hoping to see Elsa.. Ariel.. Belle…. she was disappointed and didn’t understand why she wasn’t seeing the “real” princesses. It was a princess concert without the look of the princesses that uniquely made each one stand out. The dresses are so important to character representation because it’s what it directly related. Makes the connection. Brings it to life and fulfills the childlike dream of being one of these princesses. The attire is relatable especially when the dress you’re wearing is on stage. It’s a connection that was missed with the younger audience and a disappointment. Unfortunately, it’s not a mistake I would make again. I’m better off bringing them to Disney World for the magical experience.
