The play was very entertaining. We highly enjoyed our afternoon. As always The Landmark was a wonderful venue.
It was amazing. Parts of it.I laughed until I cried.
What a show! Outstanding cast for this one that kept the focus on them and not how they compared to Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. Many laugh out loud memorable moments and the changes made to the original movie script all improved upon the original. Costumes were excellent callbacks to the movie, but with their own flair. Cannot reccommend it highly enough.
A poor approximation of the movie, with terrible casting and disappointing sets. The dialogue was accurate but the characters were not sympathetic. The best part was the final audience participation of “Pretty Woman” the song. Even the costumes were shabby.
What a wonderful experience! Everyone was top notch. Voices were fabulous, acting was terrific, and the humor was great. I haven’t seen a theatre production in years, and I loved this one. Even though I was seated high up in the balcony, I could hear and see very well. Kudos to the whole production and kudos to the Landmark Theatre. Well done!
Sound was a problem, and I had trouble understanding the dialogue-which is critical to enjoying a show. If it had been a local production ( community theater) I’d be less critical— but I did not enjoy the production and had trouble suspending belief to buy into the story line. I’ve seen quite a few reviews that were similar—but many people seemed to be enjoying it. The male lead was at least competent, not so much for the rest of the cast.
The lead actors had lovely voices; although the the male lead’s ‘country’ bent didn’t fit the play. We also did not feel a chemistry between the lead actors, which is what made it all feel a bit stiff and “high-school ish”. The bellhop was a delight - and the finale was the best part of the play!
Pretty Woman musical at the Landmark had it all! Amazing choreography, music, lights, costumes and TALENT! This show held my attention throughout and the ending was spectacular! It absolutely does not disappoint.
And not my last! The show was incredible. The space is beautiful. The only downside is that the seats are very tight, but otherwise, a great first experience and Pretty Woman was amazing. I felt like I was watching a show in NYC with the impressive sets and stars!
