About

Whitney Houston was a true legend.

Her rich, powerful voice is adored by millions and has spawned an entire industry of gospel-influenced pop singing. She's won six Grammys and two Emmys, sold more than 20 million records worldwide, and ranks as one of the best-selling music artists in history.

Houston's career began with a modest upbringing in Newark, New Jersey. In 1981, she became the lead singer for a group called The New Edition, which was known for its popular radio hits. She soon went on to pursue a solo career and released her debut album in 1985. Over the next 30 years she would have several more No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts, including "How Will I Know," "Saving All My Love for You," and, of course, her version of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You."

It would be hard to overstate the impact Houston had on the music industry throughout her career. She set records that still stand today. She holds the record as the only artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits. She has seven consecutive multi-platinum albums -- six studio albums and a soundtrack album, all released within a 10-year period. And, she was the first artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 hits and the first female artist to enter the Billboard 200 at No. 1. Whitney became known as The Voice for good reason: her vocal range made her a powerhouse even among powerhouses.

She also starred in a number of blockbuster movies, including The Bodyguard (for which she also recorded the theme song), Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher's Wife (for which she won two NAACP Image Awards), and more.

Houston's life and career have come to represent the best of a generation. Her voice, her songs and her stage presence have inspired millions around the world. Although we lost her in 2012, the magic of her presence lives on in her music.

Now, that magic is coming to a stage near you with An Evening With Whitney Houston: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert. This immersive experience combines cutting-edge digital technology with incredible light displays and 3D sound design to create an unparalleled experience. Houston's hologram is superimposed over live dancers to give you the sensation that you're actually there with her as she performs some of her most famous songs.

This performance is a unique opportunity to celebrate one of the most iconic artists in music history. Audiences can expect an extraordinary evening that delivers all the thrilling vocals and emotions for which Whitney Houston was renowned.

    Improvement needed but good anyway

by whitney fan on 6/12/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The music is great, i mean the songs . Then again can you ever get a bad song from her library? However, this being a holographic music video, somethings left me disappointed. First of all is the extremely annoying bright stage lights on both sides which does nothing. Listen no one is getting fooled into thinking this is a real concert, so the flashing stage light just blinds us is all it does. The second HUGE issue is the quality of the sound, the speaker placement on both edge of the stage which cast a sonic image on the roof of the hall, may i suggest placing some in the center behind her image to give you more of a sense she is singing and not the two towers on the side. easy fix. third is the equalization of the speaker, the entire lower mid range is missing which left her voice hard and tinny that is a huge issue as image and sound is all you got. Lastly the dancers, they really contribute nothing to the show and makes it more obvious She is not really there as it give you a perspective of distance. Lastly is the image, when did she loose 30 lbs and got taller? The show is enjoyable but a few techincal changes can make it amazing.

    What a delight...

Never had a chance to see Whitney Houston in concert before she left us. This is about as close to a live concert as you can get. Great music, excellent live dancers and musicians. Would definitely recommend it. Small venue and every seat is good. In fact you don't want to be too close because there are 2 large screens on both sides of the stage to get the full effect.

    Great show

by R. M. on 5/28/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

We sat 2nd row. I would recommend maybe 4 or 5 rows back. Very bright lights. And the hologram is projected on a screen, a little farther back would better or more real. Great songs.

    Amazing but short…

by Remy on 5/18/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

All around amazing. The effects, dancers and band top notch. Only 75 min however and not long enough especially given what you pay. Can easily do a few more songs from her arsenal and make this a solid 90 min show

    Everyone’s Eternal in Vegas

by Steph Brown on 5/16/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I didn’t know what to expect going into this, but as a big fan of Whitney’s and of Broadway and Vegas shows, I couldn’t let the opportunity pass. I brought my mom-in-law who wasn’t as big a fan as I was of Whitney, and she too was blown away by the realness to her presence. Songs were from her debut album, top hits from Preacher’s Wife, the Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale, and her latest hits before her death. She was as classy and glamorous as always including gown and outfit changes enhancing her natural graceful movements. She was flanked by real band members and dancers who choreographed their movements to match hers. The band and dancers were the final touch that, together with a dazzling light show, pulled the entire show together on their authentic and real-time energy. While no one is ever gone in Vegas - Elvis, anyone?? - this one was a classy job well done. And yes, I cried. We miss you Nippy!
