About

Kurtis Conner on Tour

Canadian comedian, podcaster, YouTube sensation and songwriter Kurtis Conner can now add national headliner to his resume. As he kicks off Kurtis Conner On Tour in 2022, expect this sell-out performer to bring his funniest material yet to the stage. Conner's oh-so-relatable brand of comedy featuring his trademark critiques of everything from popular products to pop culture, and songs like the hilariously catchy "Pinocchio Diss Track," will have fans clutching their sides. And Conner is bringing reinforcements to make sure every show is hysterical from the time the doors open to the last joke. The live show will feature Conner's "Very Really Good" podcast co-hosts Dean Hebscher and Jacob Sharpe.

Kurtis Conner Live

Kurtis Conner was born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1994, where he later performed his first stand-up shows and studied comedy writing and performance at Humber College. In 2014, he had amassed around 350,000 followers on the viral, yet short-lived, Vine app. Although Vine was destined to disappear, Conner used the recognition he had gained online to start a YouTube channel and begin touring stand-up shows all over Canada in 2014. By 2016, he had released his debut stand-up record Cuppla Jokes, which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Comedy chart and No. 1 on iTunes. Conner's YouTube fans can't seem to get enough of his characteristic thoughtful irreverence and wacky video editing techniques. As of 2022, his YouTube channel has over 3.9 million followers, and his clips frequently hit the Top 10 trending page. While most of his videos are lighthearted critiques of movies or popular trends, he has resonated with fans for occasionally taking a stand against offensive or problematic online content. In 2019, he gained recognition for calling out a pair of TikTok stars for jokingly portraying domestic violence situations, and he ended up raising $26,000 for domestic violence awareness.

    Never laughed so hard

    by LP on 7/29/23

I started watchings is video about a month before the show so i wasn’t expecting to have a bonding with his humor but oh god was this show amazing. Dark humor without beeing too much, great level of cringe, crowd interaction on point. Definitely recommand and gladly will go see him again if he makes another show in mtl!

Great Energy, but the Organization Needs Work

by Rebecca on 6/8/23The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The energy in the theatre was strong and addictive. I love Kurtis and his set was really good, however you can tell he lacks confidence as a stand up comic, as he fills awkward silences with laughs, and let some bits go on a bit long. Jacob Sharpe was a good warm up opener, but I didn't gel as much with Dean's opening set. I still had a wonderful time watching them perform and if you love Kurtis' videos, seeing him live is a must. The biggest reason this review loses a star is that the theatre staff and filming crew were incredibly disorganized. The ticket stated that the show started at 9:30, but they only started letting people into the building close to 9:20, and with the size of the line, the show ended up starting an hour late at 10:30pm - a delay which wouldn't have been as frustrating to sit through if we were able to access our phones. But either way, the late start made it so that by the time Kurtis was only halfway done his set, I was almost completely out of energy. The house really should have opened earlier to accommodate the amount of people in line needing to be searched and have their phones locked away individually. It's a time consuming process, and they really didn't seem prepared for it.

    I strongly recommend

    by C. B. on 12/1/22

It’s a great experience, very fun. Kurtis and his pals are very funny and tell great stories. I wouldn’t recommend bringing anyone under 16 to the show though, there’s some humor not appropriate for younger kids. If you’re a fan of his, you’ll be laughing your butt off at his stand up. It’s definitely different from YouTube, but both experiences are incredible. I was not disappointed and neither was my cousin, who is also a fan. We went together last year.

First stand up experience with my son. Really enjoyed it, and my son had no idea how different it would be from the Youtube platform.
