Greensboro Opera Tickets

Left the performance midway through the first act. The sound quality was very poor, better in the bathroom than in the theatre. Staff was very concerned as my husband and i were not the only ones leaving. Since this was the first opera at the Tanger Center, maybe there were some technical issues that had not been expected. We had very much looked forward to this historic event and the music and the incredible voices in the Company. Sorry it did not work out. Payed a good price for the tickets.

I guess we got what we paid for: second last row in the top section. But why not use mikes so we can hear the singers/cast? Why not print in large Fonts on the text band so we can read the lyrics? there was plenty of room left. Visually it looked beautiful but the cast looked like tiny characters from where we sat. It was a long three and a half hour for us.

The singers were simply amazing. Lovely opera house stage too. Costumes were colorful and true to the era. I was thrilled to be there, truly a thrill of a lifetime. BUT - the opera building staff was stressed to the max handling a sold out event crowd.. Lines were long. Thank God it wasn't raining or we would have been soaked. No signs to tell us where "Will Call" was located. And last but not least - Ticketmaster is a royal PITA to use - just not "user friendly". But we survived all these annoyances and were very glad to be there to see Porgy & Bess at along last.

Appeared to be quality vocals but could not here. Sound was dependent on overhead mics which was poorly done at best and made it difficult to follow story line. Also, overhead digital lyrics were distracting.

This was my first opera. The orchestra’s music was fantastic. The actors were marvelous. The only problem was me. As I told my wife. I do not have that operatic ear yet. I had to continue to look at the above screen to understand what the actors were saying. Then I lost contact with the actors. Please, continue to have the Opera at Tanger!! Thanks

The production of Porgy and Bess at the Tanger Center was superb in every way! Rhiannon Giddens and all of the supporting cast—from the chorus to those who portrayed and sang more prominent roles—were wonderful; and the Tanger Center itself is an amazing facility—beautiful inside and out. Loved, loved, loved both the performance and the place!

Well done! Enjoyed immensely! The talent was amazing.

Excellent production in a marvelous setting with outstanding artists accompanied by a magnificent orchestra. Parking was a breeze using prepaid VIP ticket, so was venue check-in.

I loved everything except the captions which were too small. They could have easily been displayed at twice the size. This would have increased my enjoyment. I heard others around me saying the same thing.
