TOOTSIE on Tour
"I LAUGHED MY MASCARA OFF." -ABC
Dorothy Michaels is the biggest sensation to hit Broadway in years. She's talented, outspoken, and an inspiration to everyone around her. In fact, she's quite literally too good to be true. Because squeezed into Dorothy's sensible size-12 pumps is actually Michael Dorsey, an out-of-work actor willing to do anything for a job — even if it means playing way against type. Now, as audiences fall for Dorothy and Michael starts to fall for the woman of his dreams, he's learning that the hardest part of show business isn't getting to the top... it's keeping up the act.
Starring Tony® nominee Santino Fontana, TOOTSIE is "the must-see musical comedy of the season!" (ABC). Don't miss this "outrageously funny" (Time Out) new production featuring a score by Tony winner David Yazbek (The Band's Visit, The Full Monty), a book by Robert Horn, choreography by Tony nominee Denis Jones, and direction by eight-time Tony nominee and Olivier Award winner Scott Ellis.
We loved it. So funny. The cast was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hands down, this was the funniest musical I’ve ever seen. It was just a joy to be present. The acting was phenomenal, the talent was tremendous, and I was entertained for the full duration. I typically crash after intermission but not this time! I was just as engaged during Act 2 as I was Act 1. Plays like Tootsie remind me of the importance of the arts. This was simply a delight!
One of the greatest shows we laughed the entire time
Tootsie on Broadway exceeded my expectations. The production was flawlessly executed, the acting believable and on point, the dialogue witty and often hysterical and the show moves along at a fun pace. The main characters of Michael, Sandy and Jeff were superb but the producers paid the same amount of attention towards the entire supporting cast. Tootsie was a feel good, enjoyable Broadway event from curtain up to curtain drawn.
My sister and I saw this show six times. We enjoyed each and every performance. It was truly exceptional. Thank you for the laughs!
The show was fun fun fun start to finish! Every cast member was fabulous and so talented! The theater was Rockin! It was a great time
Went to see Tootsie for my birthday...so glad we saw it before it closed. So funny and well done, and the songs were great (we don't usually like musicals unless the lyrics are clever, and these were!)
Terrific cast! Good story. The sets were wonderful.
Absolutely a fantastic play . Great acting , singing and over all excellent performances. I’m sorry to see it close. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, you missed a memorable experience. Congratulations to all the cast! Well done!
Saw Tootsie the day before it closed and hard to understand why it was closing. The show was so funny, the cast members so strong, and just plain fun! Loved it!
