This is my 3rd year to attending the Riverfront Jazz Festival. The guest lineup this year and the years prior are great. However, the breakdown and set up between each performer is horrible, too much wasted time which took away from the overall enjoyment. By this being the 3rd year I would think that the glitches would have been worked out by now and I believe if this isn't smooth out by the 5th year this festival will die.
I travel from out of state to come to this event to hear the great jazz legends, new and old, and when it comes to that I have no complaints; they are true professionals-they give their all. It's the other stuff that need to be tightened up. The schedule (with 2 stages not enough time between each set to move around), too much time for set up/breakdown and with each day being chocked full of entertainment ; no time to eat without missing something, and too few food trucks and lines too long so again a set gets missed.
My 3 star rating is only because of the technical problems and not the entertainment because all the performers have been fantastic.
