I was totally disappointed
I went all the way to Memphis to see this skow. Paid for gas and hotel and all I got was a less than 24 hour postponement. Now I can't get my money back. I'm never going to another Jacaryous Johnsons productions again. Totally disappointed

It Was Good, but Also Disappointed as Well

I had been wanting to see "Set It Off: The Play" for quite a min, it has been to LA twice, so I was happy to hear it was back a THIRD time and after dealing (and continuing to deal with) the BATronavirus. And although it was great, I was kind of disappointed. While many was eager to see Da Brat as Cleo I was looking forward to seeing Keisha Knight Pullium as Tee Tee and it was advertised that she was suppose to be in the play, but the night I attended it was a different actress and although the actress was good and looked like Kimberly Elise I was highly disappointed and there was no explanation on why either. Isn't that considered "false advertisement?" Also I attended the show on a Friday night but I really wanted to attend the Saturday night show and when I went to go purchase tickets they only had days available for Friday night and Saturday matinée. But someone else that I know was able to purchase tickets for the Saturday show and was able to attend it. How come she was able to purchase tickets for that show and I couldn't? Didn't understand that. But all in all the play was great and glad I was able to finally see it.

Perfect

The girls and I were not expecting this event to be as good as it was! Sure, there was amazing talent in the show, but it was literally a perfect rendition of the film. It was just as emotional, just as dramatic - the perfect amount of comedic relief, I mean! COME ON! Je'Caryous and Team! Thanks so much for putting this together and then having the audacity to share it. I wanna spill more tea, but don't wanna be a spoiler -- just go and see <3

Could have been better
Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket
Negatives: 1. The show started 30 minutes late reportedly because one of the actresses was late arriving to the theater. 2. Keshia Knight Pullium who was on the flyer was not in the show. 3. The acting overall wasn't great. 4. The set design was boring and basic. Positives: 1. Da Brat held the play down, she was by far the best. Her role and presentation of the role kept the show fun. 2. The ending of the play was the highlight; nice surprise that had the crowd very excited and hyped. 3. The actor who played Luther was good. He did the part well. 4. The original Stevie (brother in the movie) was in the play as another character. It was good to see him in the play.

They Set It Off

Excellent show well worth the wait. It was very entertaining. A few key parts were left out just a few but for the most part you caught the essence of the movie it was great.

The show was excellent but the guest were ignorant. They were smoking weed and they were yelling out profanity, rude, on their phones, arguing over seats. I sat in the balcony and the audience really took away from the show for me.

The play was very funny and entertaining. I enjoyed all the actors. This was my first time attending A J. Johnson play. I will continue to support. Awesome job to the actors, production, stage people, writer's, wardrobe, etc..
