The Storytellers Project Tickets

Every storyteller and their story was emotionally moving. I was crying and laughing throughout. Excellent moderation by DSM Register. Affordable and lovely venue. Water and brownies provided to every seat holder. We will now be looking to volunteer and donate to the Afghan Refugee Support.

Ideal venue for the story tellers. The relaxed atmosphere is the perfect setting and suites the storytellers very well. The Storytellers Project offers a refreshing change of scenery in an evening's entertainment. It takes us away from the high tech, flashing lights, and amplified noise of the overpriced big stage performances. Are the stories true? Who cares? It makes no diference. They are coming from a person that lives down the road. It is their "true" story. It has long been my belief; that the best stories are not read, but spoken to an attentive ear.

Loved the show on Love especially Sarah Trone Garriott’s story. It was delightful, an unusual story delivered perfectly

This was my first time attending and will not be the last. Bought season tickets for 2023. My suggestions are: (1) have the speakers use a lavalier microphone so they can work the stage. (2) have a 30 minute Q&A at the end.

This was a great time to turn off one’s cell phone and get to hear five interesting people tell their stories, all well coached and told from the heart.

This was such a fantastic show! The storytellers each has unique experiences they shared with the audience and with their own individual flare! Some had hints of sadness, many with comical and astute observations, but all with life lessons. I look forward to making it out to another storyteller show soon!

Arrived early to get a parking spot in the lot. Inside was breathtaking. Tickets were in the balcony with a nice view. Really didn't know what to expect but absolutely loved it. To start out with a very funny story about a family trip automatically made me think of so many road trips and mishaps during my childhood. Each person brought an individual perspective on life. Really enjoyed ourselves. Saw people with drinks and wondered where they got them but didn't go looking for them. Not sure if that was available to everyone. Only minor complaint would be that in the balcony area there are no hand railings. I'm older and felt a little concerned with my balance. I did fine taking it slow and it certainly would not stop me from coming back

What a unique experience for me. The art of story telling is what I came away with. 5 people from Iowa shared their experiences of growing up and the lessons learned along the way. Each individual had varying degrees of public speaking experience and all of them excelled at putting forth their story in a concise, easy to follow way. interjecting humor is always a good idea to keep the audience involved and they were funny but real. I came away very impressed and even recently purchased a book on how to tell a great story.

We attended our first Storytellers and didn’t know what to expect. It was a wonderful evening of fun and heartwarming stories. Each person presented without notes and spoke straight from the heart. It was great to laugh out out loud and leave with a smile. Each storyteller had worked with a Register writer so the stories were concise and well done. We look forward to our next evening of storytellers!
