About

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

    Great show

    by RYT1 on 3/7/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The show was great. I'd highly recommend listening to the soundtrack a few times before seeing the show though. The songs have a lot of info and are fast. We had to do some research on his early life to get all of the references to what was going on. It was a good opportunity to learn more about the forming of our country.

Hamilton is an experience worth the wait!

by Gsdavis on 3/7/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

After waiting over a year to get tickets (believe me tickets are hard to get!), it was showtime for last Sunday’s 6:30 show. I was sitting at the edge of my seat to view a magnificent showing of American history using lyrics, music and rap to tell Hamilton’s story about a founding father without a father. It is a must see!!!!

by NewHamiltoFan on 3/7/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

This was my first time seeing Hamilton, and even with all the hype, it was even BETTER than I anticipated!! Amazing cast, brilliant plot, and an excellent way to learn about one of our founding fathers! I do recommend listening to the music and becoming familiar with the lyrics before attending!

    Overhyped

by Talaxy on 3/6/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I don't know what the big deal was. Maybe the acoustics affected my perception. Couldn't understand half the dialog. Music was good. Costumes and stage looked great.

    mixed bag

by janeydoe on 3/6/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Having seen Hamilton on Broadway in New York, the touring company production was a bit of a disappointment. The two women playing Eliza and Angelica Schuyler were the best of the cast and really were excellent. The problem with the production is that the lyrics are so good that the acting does not need to exaggerate the meaning, as was done with King George - way overplayed the "madness" - the lyrics are so good that to act as if he is mad, rather than as if he doesn't know he is mad really overdid the part. Washington was not overpowering enough and Lafayette did not use the French accent well. Those are just a couple of issues I had with this production. However, for those who would not otherwise have an opportunity to see this musical, it should be seen, as it is one of the most brilliant musicals of and for our time.

Hamilton was one of the best performances we’ve been to. Expensive but worth the money. I’d pay for the best tickets, you won’t regret it.
