Hot Brown Honey

Hot Brown Honey turns up the heat, delivering lashings of sass and a hot pinch of empowerment in the smash-hit cabaret show that’s taken Edinburgh Festival Fringe by storm.

Packing a potent punch with hip hop politics, the Honeys will make you laugh until you cry, clap until your hands bleed and shake every part of what your mama gave you. This posse of phenomenal women defiantly smash stereotypes, remix the system and dare to celebrate our similarities and differences in an explosion of colour, culture and controversy.

Hot Brown Honey is unapologetically fierce, serving up an audacious platter of dance, poetry, comedy, circus, striptease and song. With set, lighting, music and costume to rival Beyoncé at Madison Square Garden, it’s political theatre like you’ve never seen it before.

Become one with the hive - fighting the power never tasted so sweet!

The HBH team is Kim 'Busty Beatz' Bowers, Lisa Fa'alafiMaterharere Hope 'Hope One' HaamiJuanita DuncanOfa Fotu and Crystal Stacey.

    Unexpected

by SA on 10/17/22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The show was full of talent, there was a lot of emotional parts, funny parts and so politically incorrect parts. I loved it all as it fit with my beliefs. I can’t say there was no controversy but I was there for it. Sometimes speaking your truth is liberating and it’s nice to see some women from all over the world share the same one. God bless!
