    Mountain home music festival

by 21musicfanatic on 4/19/18Mountain home music festival - Fairfield

I have attended every year, since it started. Last year was a little bit disappointing, because of the weather, we didn't get to hear, only one or two songs from Billy Currington and didn't get to hear from Keith Urban at all, which was one of the main reasons I attended. I thought maybe they would offer a discount to this years' festival, or compensate us in some way, since they were the nights headliners. I realize it was mother nature, but paying for VIP tickets is a lot of money, and 1 night's worth of headliners, should have been worth something. I think it is above average, and would recommend it, because I love the fact that we get to experience, lots of amazing Musicians all in 3 days. The first year was horrible for dust. It still is bad, but they are trying every year, to try things to make it better. Since it's in a large field, that will always be somewhat of an issue. This year, I was a little bit shocked by one of the main 3 headliners, If the top 6 musicians (2 each night) are awesome, then I don't mind paying the price. But with the price increase and the way they are offering the VIP tickets this year, and the one headliner, I was disappointed. So I won't be attending this year. It does suck, as far as places to stay in the area, and camping with a bunch of rowdy strangers does not sound fun or restful to me. I think they are trying hard to put on a great production, but feel they have a lot of things to continue to work out.

    poor venue

by Anonymous on 8/2/16Mt Home Idaho Country Music Festival - Mt Home

First off I would say the talent is first rate. After that this festival is a one star. Far away from any town and even farther from Boise. The only way to really do this festival is to camp there and expect to live in a dust bowl for 3 days. Want to see the actual performers? the stage placement and the ground slope prohibit that unless you are in the VIP area. Care to have a beer while watching? sorry the beer tent is way off in the corner and beer must stay there. I won't return and I don't recommend this one.
