About

Please note that Al Roker will not perform on Saturday 2pm Matinees or Sunday 7pm Evenings, or on Saturday November 23 8pm evening. He will perform in both shows (2pm & 7pm) on Sunday November 24.

Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as "The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie" and "Betrayed By My Eggs Pie." When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - shows Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

Brought to life by a groundbreaking, all-female creative team, this Tony Award-nominated hit features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles ("Love Song," "Brave"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland).

"Waitress is a little slice of heaven!" says Entertainment Weekly, and is "sweet, sassy and passionate," according to New York Magazine. Don't miss this uplifting and hilarious musical.

One of my Favorite B-way Experiences

by Theresa on 10/29/19Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

After a series of duds, the Waitress was a breath of fresh air. The songs were beautiful (of course), the plot line moved and I was never bored, and Jordin Sparks...wow. Born to play this role. I wish she was on the original soundtrack so I could listen over and over. Don’t miss this show!

    Go see Waitress

by J. M. on 10/29/19Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Waitress is a fun musical with a sad but real storyline and an uplifting ending. The singing and acting is excellent with every member of the cast. The refreshments were fun - wine and pie.

    Your Not Missing Anything Here

by Sal's Pizza on 10/28/19Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

The show was enjoyable. We got last minute discount tickets for front center mezzanine at $109 a piece so it was worth it but not recommended if you have to pay full price. See another show. The music was good but the band overpowered all female leads making it difficult to understand the lyrics. The male leads did not have the same issue. The crowd control at the theater was poorly managed. We stood in a line 3 city blocks away from theater in order to enter and it took close to 25 minutes to exit the theater at the end of the show.

A fantastic night out - we loved it!

by Greggy B on 10/26/19Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

The whole experience was fantastic - a really good night out on our visit to NYC. The performance was second to none. The cast was 1st class and there was plenty of laughs too. The theatre venue itself was good too - smooth entrance, helpful staff, comfortable seats and a great view. As a family with 2 teenagers we’d recommend this to all ages - our two loved it. A great night out!

Very entertaining, I am glad I did not pass the chance to watch the show. The cast did an excellent job portraying their respective characters. Ogie is the funniest of them all.

    WAITRESS

by L. G. on 10/23/19Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

I thought the two male leads, the elf and doctor, were exceptionally fine. The women were not as fine. I was unable to understand the words sung by the lead waitress until the latter part of the first act. There was too much moving of pie trays, clothing, etc. This was highly distracting. The choreography was marginal.

Came in with high expectations for this musical based on the music composer and the star. The music from Sara Bareilles is fantastic and Jordin Sparks is mesmerizing.
