Seek an alternative

Acting and choreography were excellent but audio or enunciation made some songs intelligible. This unfortunately meaningfully detetracted from enjoyment of the show.

Waitress a must see!

- New York

My husband and I were in NYC to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We got tickets for Waitress and were delighted with our selection. Neither of us had see the movie so we didn’t know what to expect. Waitress was the perfect choice combining beautiful music, superb acting and humor!

Jenna understudy was fabulous! And I LOVED Al Roker as Joe. The music is great, the performance humorous (especially the Dr - beats Nathan Filion’s movie role for sure!

Waitress needs to be left in the kitchen

- New York

Total bore with tasteless comedy. Went with my mom to celebrate her 88th birthday; she hated it as well so you have two opinions from 2 different generations. The singing was fair(Broadway has much better to offer), the dancing was puerile and the comedy was sparse, forced and just not funny except for 2 occasions so that would be $100 per laugh. Catch a Rising Star would have been a better choice and that comes with 2 drinks at less than half the price. Wouldn’t submit my friends to this amateurish half rate production. 2 thumbs down...way down!!!

Show Details

Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team, this irresistible new hit features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles ("Brave," "Love Song"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland). "It's an empowering musical of the highest order!" raves the Chicago Tribune.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's beloved film, WAITRESS tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.

"WAITRESS is a little slice of heaven!" says Entertainment Weekly and "a monumental contribution to Broadway!" according to Marie Claire. Don't miss this uplifting musical celebrating friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie.
