    "Barracuda! Try harder!"

by Champaroo on 3/5/24Tech CU Arena - San Jose

The game was intense, fast-moving fun for the family. The Barracudas were down 2-1 in the third period. My son shouted, "Barracuda! Try harder!"The urging inspired our section (109, row3) to join in the chant! "Barra-Cuda!"grew louder and louder with each recitaition. The safety shield nearly shattered as surrounding sections joined in... As we shouted, a break-away was unfolding. A Barracuda made his way down rink. From the middle, he shuffled the puck. The opposing team's goalie, tensed up. Preparing for the block just wasn't enough for the Firebird's defense. The puck slipped past him into the the goal. The crowd was electrified! The score was tied! My son both, received and gave hi-fives to fans who credited him with a commanding assist for the point scored. However, a win for the home team was not meant to be as a shoot-out snatched victory away from the San Jose Barracuda. Yet, we exited pleased to have seen a great game, G-rated taunting from fans nearby and an elated child who demands that we return to see the, Tigre Del Mar fight again.

The Cuda games are great! There is NO bad seat here. We love the rails at the top do being roomy for bigger guys. The Cuda games are always fun. The team fights hard and its always fun to watch. Can't really go wrong for $13 tickets. I go as often as I can.

Our first AHL game, First of many.

by Ally on 1/29/24Tech CU Arena - San Jose

Both teams were so fun to watch! We ended up staying in the same hotel as the Wranglers and both teams were so kind and sweet with my 8 year old hockey fan, giving autographs, asking him questions. The game was an absolute blast to watch, the employees were all nice and helpful. It was an experience my entire family will never forget - THANK YOU!

    So fun

by Shaff on 12/12/23Tech CU Arena - San Jose

There's not a bad seat in the house. The Cuda fight hard, and AHL games are just generally gritty. Its great to see the younger guys develop. The Arena is easy to navigate, and as a woman you never have to wait for a bathroom stall, which is amazing.

A great family experience at a very reasonable price. Parking is close by; ingress/egress is a snap; not a bad seat in the house; great fun for the whole family!

    BRING EARPLUGS

by PS on 10/17/23Tech CU Arena - San Jose

The sound system was ear-splittingly loud, my Apple Watch kept warning me that the sound levels were 90-110 dB, and that 30 minutes over 90 dB can cause permanent hearing loss. This was from the sound/announcement system, not the crowd. We were going to leave after the first period because of that, when I couldn't get earplugs anywhere (the lady at the pro shop suggested I drive to Wal-Mart), but luckily I was able to find someone that had two extra pairs during intermission, so we were able to tolerate the rest of the game. Other than the sound issue (and the poor quality of the overpriced pizza, not surprising though), the game was enjoyable (despite their loss). It's much more intimate compared to SAP Center. I admit it is my fault for not being prepared with earplugs, but I figured since it's a much smaller stadium, they probably wouldn't be necessary. I did not expect them to use the same volume levels they need to fill SAP Center, however... We will go back, but only with adequate ear protection.
