    Lineup gets worse every year

by awil316 on 6/22/15NOLA City Park - New Orleans

VooDoo Music used to be the best concern in the city. There were so many amazing acts and it appears that every year the tickets get more expensive to the point that now they offer a PAYMENT PLAN - - but the acts become more and more pathetic. For instance - this year the only good people they have are Ozzy and Jane's Addiction. Everyone else is either small time, no one has ever heard of them, local, or so indie that you have to be high or a hippie to enjoy it. I want to see Ozzy and Jane's Addiction - - - - but I just don't think I'll pay the money to to watch ONLY THEM. Pass and find a different concert.

Pearl Jam alone was worth the ticket price.

by NolaLoolooloo on 11/18/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

Loved seeing Pearl Jam outdoors at Voodoo! Fair grounds were lovely, although the sound from a second stage was overwhelming at times. The festival should not have limited single day tickets. Dirty move.

    Sports and Leisure was awesome!

Not your usual local band. Very interesting, sophisticated arrangements - almost theatrical - with many different instruments used.

Great facility, not overcrowded, good food. The sound was wonderful and stage was awesome. I would definitely go back to VooDoo Fest again. Definitely worth every penny!

The Cure was awesome.... that was it though

by LameFest on 11/6/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

This was the most annoying festival I have ever been to in my life. It started out with the fact that there was no available parking for the event. I had to drive around the city and find my own parking and of course was taken advantage of and had to pay $20 to park my car for a few hours. So after finding parking I had a nice 20 minute walk to the entrance of the festival. Once I get to the entrance I have to wait in line so the staff can check everyone's bags and check the content of pockets. This took another 20 minutes or so. Once it was finally my turn I get turned away because I had a pin knife on my key chain. I was told that this little knife was not allowed into the festival. So I took the 40 minute round trip to my car to leave it there and another 20 minute wait to get back into the festival. The lady in front of me had to throw away her over the counter medicine. After being in the festival for 5 minutes I am hit with the smell of Pot. I could not go anywhere without smelling pot or seeing someone smoking pot out of a glass pipe. So my pin knife and that lady's over the counter medicine are a no go and pot and glass pipes are ok? I only bought a one day pass because I only wanted to see Mr Quintron and The Cure. I missed most of Quitron due to the pin knife fiasco . After watching Quintron I wanted to check out all the vendors. It was really hard to do due to the loud environment. I understand it is a festival with multiple stages, but even when I was away from the stages really bad pop music was being blasted from speakers all over the place. It was hard to talk to anyone or even think. Ive been going to concerts and festivals for at least 15 years and this one just seemed poorly organized and very uncomfortable.
